Jennette moves with Sparrow "I have no idea who Baroness Coradel will go with, they're all so good"

Coradel listens to the blaring music, nodding to the rhythm.....

As much show man as singer, and good at both, Tursday slides to the crowd"Madness reigns

August hovers behind Coradel.

Flame magics mix in with the show!

She begins to smile broadly, feeling the deep rhythms of it, the harsh overtones.

Jennette smiles at that, "True. A hard choice, and besides, if one you really like doesn't make it, you can always invite them to visit every once in awhile. "

Cigarette litters with balefire symbols seem to have been sold, and they light up at the concert!

"I have a favorite, though I'm surprised how much I liked the last satyr."

This is not the sort of music Coradel was raised in, nor the sort her 'in crowd' liked, but it is raw, raging, and contagious

Someone pinches August's butt in the crowd

He jolts and whips around, staring.

She might not be thrashing her head, but she's definitely into the beat and the intensity. "Wooo!" she calls out.

Jennette nods "Gideon has more... how does one say, heart than some of them? But still tough field. And yes, I am not one for the hip hop but Elizja is good. " Sparrow and she peek in. Gideon is performing a quieter more traditional version of The Minstrel Boy.

Sparrow draws in, sitting near the back to quietly listen.

Gideon is at his best when he forgets the crowd, and right now he is once more in the moment of the music. A harp shattered rather than its purpose betrayed- a minstrel dying a patriot for what he knows to be right.

meanwhile, August turns around and looks about. There are three women and two guys it could be easily

His blank expression goes stone-faced and he turns back to the, ah, musician.

Coradel has her arms in the air, dancing as she's danced in some of the clubs Bachdion took her to during her fosterage.

Coradel looks like a candleflame in her movement, writhing in place and lighting up the room.

August vents a groan that goes completely unheard, and steps forward, utterly at a loss for how to do this but... well, he 'white-boy' dances. It's embarrassing, really.

She likely has her eyes closed, focused on the rhythm.

Probably for the best. He sticks with it, though, and... truth be told, enjoys watching her.

She screams out happily along with him, then cheers and applauds.

August stops with an air of gratitude and claps.

"Thank ye! " Tursday grins wide and breaks out an electric violin and starts a heavy metal version of an Irish Reel, akin to Chumbawamba using Danny Boy with "I get knocked down"

Gideon plays out "This one goes out to a lady who helped me get a chance. I don't know if you'd call it folk,but I'd like to think she'd like it..."

And he covers Rainbow Connection doing Kermit proud. And anyone who's a lover, a dreamer, or a me... probably loves it.

A quiet smile from her corner.

And others join in, when you're a changeling born of dreams, you just have to join in

Coradel smiles and bounces to the music for a few moments, but then she turns to August. "We should go back to the assembly chamber...I need to make a decision."

And indeed, it is getting to time, and she won't want the troubadours all burnt out.

August has to bend his dark head close to hear her, but then nods and escorts her back.

Gideon finishes and applauds the audience, "thank you for sharing tonight with me.." BLUSH.

Sparrow, still clapping, rises to her feet.

Inish makes his rounds, to each musician and whispering to them something. it would appear auditions, such as they are, are done. A few folks boo Inish, the old herald snorts "Same to you" With dignity

And Coradel has a choice to make

She takes a seat, and has August sit nearby. Sparrow has her Chancellor's chair. "Each musician will have the chance to give one more performance, a work of his or her choice, as a formal audition." She has Inish organize the order they'll go in.

Inish sets lots and puts them in a hat, then organizes the list as picks are done.

August cups one hand over the ear on that side, then the other side, flexing his jaw, as he sits.

She notes August's gestures, and leans to ask, "Are you all right?"

He nods. "Yes. That last one was just... loud. I'm fine."

"Mm...I liked it, but I can see it would be rough on a regular basis for some ears."
