"Of course, if the kids don't like me that's a major consideration," She agrees, "I would expect nothing less."

"And with my life. I'd swear to their protection. I'll not fail a.. I'll not fail. not fail and live."

A flick of her wings and a long, steady look.

"Failure happens, Ludmilla."

"Yes. Yes it does." A nod "But I can at least go down failing if fail I must. And I will, to protect them. I wasn't joking about oathing to that effect."

"I know what an oath means to a troll. Would you only be interested in the warder position?"

"I.. don't wish to be a thane really. There's no shame in being a thane, but...I would prefer to work with the children."

"It seems very important to you."

"It is. Please do consider me for the position, thank you."

"I will extend you hospitality. Three nights, over the holiday."

"You are too kind, Chancellor. I appreciate the consideration and the hospitality." And she moves to depart, then remembers to bow, a bit stiffly on that bad leg "By your leave?"

She nods, but frowns slightly when the troll departs.

That would appear to be it, at least for tonight. And Jennette says "At the risk of sounding like a cliche, something weighs heavily on her."

"Trolls take failure about as well as Liam do."

"And I know how it feels when a home is suddenly... no longer such."

"You mean they never ever let go of it?" Leonora says

"Sorry, but you guys get..fixated" She adds

"Fair enough."

"I think she might need somewhere to be."

"you're a soft heart, my friend, but what if another makes a better warder for the children?" A raised brow

"Also ultimately it's Coradel's call though she'll listen to you I bet" Leonora said

"I want to see them with the kids..."

"I don't know if we could justify two, but two of them seem promising."

"That's best I agree," Jennette says "You need to see howw all three mix." Curious "Which two?"

"The piskey and the troll."

"Good. I don't like the boggan, sorry" Leonora says "Kids need fun darn it."

"Miss Lee... I do not think she is right for our childlings, not with all they have been through already."

"Now, I've known some sidhe brats I'd love to sic her on..."

Leonora laughs at that "Okay, I hear you on the brats. She probably would have raised my host much better that's for sure"

"You've mentioned she was a brat..."

"And she turned into a bitch" A sniff "Treated daddy..er her father like dirt."

"Well, you've been doing better so far?"

"yeah, he..I don't like lying to him, but we're close, you know?" She smiles "Sorry, subject should be the kids and warders."

"What did you think of her? Ludmilla?"

"I don't know. I feel almost as curious as a bored sluagh to be honest about her story" Leonora says

"But it also feelsl ike I'm butting in?"

"Stoic."

"But, well - troll."

Jennette is more practical "We have a right to know. It may affect how she works with her charges."

"And she can't overcome it if she keeps running from it."

"Geez, I don't know guys, everyone has hang ups, and issues, doesn't mean she's going to suck at the job" The Fiona says

"I did not say she would" Jennette replies

"I think both she and the piskey would defend our kids..."

"The fellow as much said so so yeah" Leonora nods

"Which do you two like best?"

"I think we're in agreement on which two. If two you get," Leonora says// Jennette nods "I can admire Miss Lee, but some of thise children require a kinder sort."

She nods. "They've been through a lot."

"So if you think you can get two, not a rpoblem, but if it's just one?" Leonora asks
