"Nice, but not as good as my two pairs that..." Leonora grins, "So come to.."

"Is this any good?" Jennette says and lays down the full house.

"Wait, they aren't?"

Leonora is starting to explain how her pairs are higher ranked, then blinks as Jennette takes the pot.

"Or the Beaumayn takes it all..."

"Also, Leonora, it's customary to declare if Aces are high or not before you deal, otherwise her pairs might have beat out yours" Jennette says faux demurely

"I..." A blink "You sneaky fortune teller! " Leonora says "You do know how to play Poker"

"I am betting gambling with an oracle might not be the wisest choice..."

"Non non, no glamour, no prophecy. I ....might have spent sometime in a riverboat in Willows, that had shall we say a few card games?" Sheepish

Leonora groans as the pot is taken up, "I'm going to have to clean your armor up for a week."

"So Now you have a job" Jennette flutters her lashes.

Sparrow starts laughing.

The Fiona grumbles, the Beaumayn dimples...and there's a knock at the door.

Her wings perk, like a curious retriever's ears. "COme in?"

Inish opens the door, "Ah, there you are. Pardon, Chancellor, but got time to interview a possible warder?"

"Oh, yes! Absolutely!:

"Where would you like to meet the applicant?"

"Here is fine."

"If you ladies don't mind?"

"Oh no, I think you just saved me from a world of Franco Trickery" Leonora says

Jennette sticks HER tongue out at Leonora, and hands Sparrow her five back

She beams, and tucks the bill away.

"Besides, second opinions are useful..."

"Oh, I thought you wanted us to leave," Leonora says

"Oh..."

Mildly flustered. "I can go."

"No no, we're kay with it, we just misunderstood. Do you want this room for yourself to talk to wheover, or want us to hang around and help with the interview?"

"Hang around? You're friends."

Jennette smiles and retakes her seat, "Of course."/Leonora says "Fine, either way saves me from being taken again."//"You've been taken plenty of times, madame lioness." The Beaumayn says loftily.//The Fiona's mouth falls open then, she laughs "I want to be mad, but I'm... just too proud of you."//Jennette is blushing

Inish coughs "So send the applicant in shall I?"

"Please and thank you, Herald Inish."

The first applicant to come in is a weathered faced older Piskie man, his hair gray and silver and in a top knot. He wears a denim jacket and double knit pants, with a shirt under the former that has a drawing of Big Bird. "Hello, Chancellior? Ladies. I'm Mike Bowman. I understand you need someone who is good with children?"

"We've had something of a childling influx, yes."

"Well, I am old enough to be patient but still healthy enough to keep up with them," He says, "And I have a bachelor's degree in education with a minor in psychology.."

"Do you have experience?"

"Baby sat when I was younger for family, rare for a teenage boy. Got some work in an elementary school after a college, though the banality wore down on me."

"Why here?"

Her wings flex a bit, before draping around her shoulders.

He nods, "Well, the two sources of banality at the school were bueracracy and paranoid suspicion. I hoped there would be less of both in a hold. Also I'm getting older so being near a bale part of the time would be a selfish delight I confess. But I like kids."

"Do you have a means outside of the hold? A bale is a friendly thing, yes, but you cannot be here all the time and stay well."

"I have a sister in the area who lets me make a bedroom out of her attic. So I don't plan on living here full time." he assures, "I'm looking for a job, do some odd things like minor construction of playgrounds."

She nods. "What do you bring that nobody else could?"

"Well, I don't know what the others bring, so hard to say. My kith has a soft spot for the young. Probably why the Thallian Version of us.. spriggans, kidnap them. Twisted reflections you know? That's one thing I can do, spot a spriggan a mile away, and I'll tell you right now... I hear that you folks have a problem with Thallain, but if they come near a kid under my charge? the thanes only job will be clean up."

The Beaumayn seems impressed by his knowledge of thallain and it shows in her eyes

Leonora is less sure but considering it

"We've had kidnapping issues, specifically."

"Can you fight?"

"I can swing a blade, shoot a gun, and throw a punch. Not a pro at any, but I won't fall on my face trying."

"How do you deal with attitude?"
