"Yeah but what if they... what if they learn from you?" The Eshu says "Okay yes this sounds silly. But anyway I gave my word"

"To not tell? Okay. But that also means we can't help you."

"Not trying to bust your balls or nothin'. But you see where I'm coming from, right?"

Madame Sly talks to SYMON "These are from the Baker herself. "

"I see it, but Clodagh is my friend, you see where I'm from?"

"Yeah, gotta stick by your word. So I won't press."

"But it will be a hell of a story if it works" he grins

“From the Baker, but I bet she doesn’t bake just one flavor.” He responds. “Which effect do these have?”

"You're a wise boy... " Sly says and touches the cookies, "These make folks suggestable, slavish to all ideas suggested. But I do have the kith changing sort as well"

A grin. “What would you take in exchange for the ones I want?”

He corrects, “the ones I asked for originally.”

Because he can’t lie, he does like those others.

"How many do you need? " Madame Sly says

A thoughtful look. “About a farm’s worth.”

"What an..interesting wording" Madame Sly says then frowns "I don't have that many. I can do a dozen" the rat eyed woman says

Trell looks at DAGMAR "I .. so your friend ...buying them all up?"

"He might be... shouldn't be, but.."

“Would you trade them for some taxidermy?”

"Depends on who you've killed and turned into a display" Sly says "Got anything in royalty?"

A soft sigh, regretful. “I’ve only been able to work in animals. But my dad wants me to be a doctor. Maybe if I went for mortuary science...”

Trell says "Okay, look, I'm going to try to find our leader... talk to your friend, slow him down? Until I can convince MY leader ..err friend to let us off the hook for this promise?" Hopeful glance to Dagmar "maybe there's enough cookies for all"

“I have friends with more to trade, though. Would you accept a small gift in exchange for holding them until you’ve heard our offers versus some ...other buyers?”

A nod. "Seems fair."

"Mm I like this bargain. You give me something.. animal.. taxidermied. I hold for an hour"

“Two hours, because it’s two animals. “ he counters back, craftily.

And shows the madam his most recent work. “I call it an alleyway angel.” A rat, cunningly turned winged by pigeon feathers and muscle... it’s almost impossible to see where they meet.

“And if you end up selling to someone else, maybe we can make a deal on some of your other stuff anyways.”

Gerd would like this place, he muses.

"Fine" Sly takes it...

"Two hours" A smile

And he returns to tell Dagmar his bargain, once out of earshot.

"Seems alright. That group is looking, too - dunno, he was going to see about telling us WHY. I mean, if it's a good cause..."

“Then tough titties. We have our quest. And our own cause.” He adds, placating. “And if we get them it’s because we were fated too, right? So we might as well try and not let some sob story trick us.”

Shrug. "Maybe there's enough to go around."

He shrugs. “At least some.”

Gerd and Zane come out looking around

"Dagmar... Symon with you?" Zane says

"Yeah. Got my partner."

"GOod. Dirk's fighting an armored steam punk T Rex... live on Dream per view" Gerd huffs

"It's turning out to be tougher than he thought"
