Dagmar has a little smile. She enjoys the trods, the colors, the vibrant sky...

Oh yes. the clouds are puffy white and one would swear playful. It's a bit bright for Symon's eyes

He scowls and tugs his hood up over his eyes, then realizes if he walks just so behind Dagmar, she blocks out the light a bit.

Normally, they'd just follow this nice, clear Silver to the terminus at the Farm...but Sylvi stops them only a brief way along.

"Okay, so I don't know when we'll be close enough, exactly, so we'll have to test a couple of times. What we're looking for is a side trod that has a bunch of little flags on it. Everybody come stand over here and hold hands...we all need to be touching. Floppsy, get inside a pack, just in case."

"On it" Flopsy says

"A side trod? Huh" Zane says

Gerd blinks "I think I've heard of stuff like this" But she complies

"Yeah, okay, so...everybody pick up one foot like you're about to step off the trod, but don't do it unless I go first. On the count of three, yell 'Astonish Me!' Got it? One...two...three! ASTONISH ME!"

His clammy hand worms into Dagmar's larger one, though he does not yell anything, he does whisper something along with the others.

Dirk Bellows . Zane calls out! Gerd YELLS

This is not the right spot

For Symon, that's a yell. And Sylvi feels sorry about that pain.

When no trod or flags appear, she sets her foot back down on the Silver. "Okay, it's not here."

"...gotta be kidding me..."

"We keep going. And...sorry, Symon."

He shrugs, and continues on.

They travel along. "I don't think there'll be any other markers...we just have to keep checking."

Symon lets his gaze trail along the edge of the silver pathway, looking for anything unusual or out of place.

Zane says "the firnost trod.. let's go into the farm, then take their trod to the firnost gardens and try there? it hooks up to..oh everything, Firnost"

"True...and that trod gets deeper into the Dreaming. Okay, good plan, Zane."

"I've heard that place is worse than Mos Eisley. Or better."

Dirk grunts "I heard don't drink the water"

Sylvi blinks. "You guys haven't been to Firnost yet?"

"I have" Zane says "A few times"

"I got fussed at when I went" gerd reminds

"Yeah, I take all my Tindr hookups there."

"Why not drink the water?"

"Don't know.." Dirk says "Just what I heard"

"It's a joke, but the punchline seems to change. It's like, if you drink the water, you might get pregnant OR you might change gender preference OR you might change gender OR....I don't even know."

"You get some really sketchy people there, though. Rule of thumb -- whatever the Gloves serve you is probably safe, but don't take food or drink from anybody else."

"And yeah, Gerd, you were like eight at the time."

"I heard that it used to be one of the most powerful common-held freeholds in the midwest, but it was abandoned for unknown reasons. A curse, perhaps? Or maybe the water is poisoned." He seems more interested along those lines.

"Details.." Gerd waves it off.

"I used to go a lot. Still go sometimes. If you want, maybe we can all head over there, take a look around Necropolis."

The switch to the farm is speedy... security is lessened right now, moods less tense, though theres' some odd looks at Lucia who they aren't as used to, and ditto for Symon. Some Wilders among the DeBukes sigh wistfully at the obvious signs of questing.

"Swing looooo swweet chaaariot" One very blonde Wilder starts to sing as he does his chores.

"STOP that" his mother calls at him.

Sylvi smiles and waves at them as they pass through. Nope, not taking anybody else along, but hey, everybody's got a right to dream about questing!

The Scarecrow laughs with empty lungs as they go by, "Oh my... lambs to be sheared. " And a look at Symon "Watch out for pretty faces boy."

She makes sure they're all together before they venture onto the Firnost trod.

And into the Cornfield with it's trod they step... and find themselves on the most infamous silver there is... a trod to Firnost

Sylvi isn't so much a mother hen as a tour guide, but she is concerned with making sure they're all together. And after a little while she pauses them again to try for a side trod. "Symon, you might want earplugs. Okay. Everybody touching...one foot up....one-two-three, ASTONISH ME!"
