"It was the one with the snoozy voice man. He knows a lot but he has a voice that gives me the naps REAL bad. Someone-or-other Eating Burrows."

Lily says "how are you, Adam? you've been so..distant. i watched"

"I don't wanna talk about it here, Lol, but I'll live." He assures her. "Tell you about it another time."

"Something wrong?" His pooka-dar pings, and he moves over to hug the spare leg. "Are the classes too hard? Jack knows the best windows to 'scape through."

"Aw, thanks Connor. I've been watching Jack; he's the best escaper." Adam agrees.

"The classes are hard sometimes." He admits. "I don't know how to sit for HOURS and HOURS and my tail gets twitchy."

"Yeah, well, I'd rather not be here either." Adam confesses lightly..... but Lily probably knows he's spoken a truth. And she's not even Gwydion.

"You too? But you're used to muggle school. I'm used to running freeeeeeeee." He reasons.

"Connor is a terrible student. I would say they should use a ruler on his paws, but they don't do that here" Lily says "Besides I'd have to avenge him. " She looks at her brother "Well, sometimes we must suffer"

"If they used rulers, I'd sneak em off and burry 'em in the fields. Then they would grow so many feet of corn!"

"At least there's recess." Adam points out.

"I'm glad you're here. If you weren't, who would have solved the Rover versus rover debates?" A smal frown. "I don't think we convinced her though. Maybe I can ask Olgar to write me a permission slip."

Jack Flap says "I don't mind learning, but why can't I learn OUTSIDE?"

"And I don't know why I need to learn Muggle things at all. Buddy knows enough, he has plenty of tricks, and Connor needs to learn more about magic!"

Adam nods agrerment.

Lily tsks "Slackers are punished for improper behavior."

Clearly she must be the discplinarian here

"But it's not slacking if it's not IMPORTANT. I don't slack at Recess."

Looking to Adam for support.

"I hear ya, man." Adam says supportively. "Way I figure it for myself is, the only way past it is through it. Might be different for you guys, though."

"we shall never esccccaaaapeee" Lily croons

"Why is it hard for you?" His ears swap, one up, the other down now. "You know how to do School in a classroom, you're like OLD and did it for YEARS."

"You gotta be almost done."

Adam sighs. "Still got a couple years left." He goes from crouching to sitting on the ground. "I was doing ok going on line. I liked it better."

"But, I don't get a choice." a touch bitterly. "So since I can't get around it, I gotta go through it."

"But on-line you're stuck inside. Why is that better? And I'm not online."

Jack looks confused too "Yeah, people .. people neeed people"

A cheeky grin, as he plops down next to Adam and dusts a spot for Lilly.

"Nah, Lil, that's the point. I could go to online school -anywhere- as long as there's a signal and my laptop is charged. And I had more time for other stuff like working at the kennels and lessons and girls."

Lily says "But there are girls here. Some even think you're.." She makess a yuck face "Cute"

"But there are girls here too. Like Lilly!" He frowns slightly. "And Angelkya."

And he grins to Lilly as they have the same thought.

"Lilly works on the farm, you see." He says solemnly. "Cuz she's corn-on-the-macabre."

"Yeah? Who?"

He is interested, not dismissive.

"Daisy Nelle" his sister says, then she covers her mouth "oh I should have charged you for that knowledge"

Lily then looks at connor "oh connor, that was a terrible pun" A beat "I love it"

"Allonsy also smiles when you go by, but she is from your place." He beams at Lily, tail wagging.

"That one was free." He chortles.

Adam searchsles his memory.

"Al - Lan - Zy." He repeats a little slower.

"Oh. Should we have charged for translation?" Peering at Lilly.

"Yeah, no, just putting faces to go with the names. Huh. Cool."

"Anyway. Iget what you're saying, Connor. Dunno what to tell you, though. If I could get out of school, I'd tell you how Idid it."

"It's not all bad though. There are so many more friends to play with here." A glance to Jack and he adds.,, "Not that you aren't great! But we can't play two player red rover, it's just tackling. And now we can play team games!"

Jack says "it's okay. I know you like Orwella"

Lily's eyes narrow at the idea Connor likes another girl
