Connor comes dashing into sight, looking upset. "Adam!" puffing over. "Have you seen the Chief? It's PORTANT."

"Hey Connor. Which Chief?"

He stops and thinks. "Any? We have to settle an argument and quick, before recess is over and it's all WASTED." He peers up at Adam. "Can YOU help?" Judging that the kinain might be tall enough to resolve this squabble.

"I'll try, if you want. What's up? 'Scuse me, guys." That last to Zane and the DeBuke guy.

"Sure" Laniel says

Zane nods "Good luck"

Connor takes a deep breath. "We was gonna play games because it's recess and that's for playing games, and we wanted to play Red Rover Red Rover, but then this girl said that we can't play that a'cause it's Cultural... Cultural.. propagation. And then Jack says it's OK because I'm a rover-with-a-lower-R-not-a-Rover-like-Olgar, but she said it doesn't matter, then Jack said that it IS okay just like how she's allowed to wear pigtails cuz she acts like a piggie, and THAT maybe wasn't nice, but then SHE said "Well you don't know nothing I heard you don't even have your own name" and THAT'S not true a'cuz I GAVE Jack his name, and and and and...." Huffing and getting rather upset again. A bit of a clamour coming from a group of childlings over yonder.

"Oh jeeze.... yeah, c'mon."Adam heads over with Connor. "Hey guys, what's up?" he looks the group over.

Connor trots along briskly, taking Adam's hand to tug him even though he's already going. "I found a WILDER who can settle it! So we don't waste our break." He says this last pointedly and painedly, as though the lost recess causes him physical discomfort.

Jack Flap looks up , sullen

A boggan girl with pigtails looks over

"Thats Peanutbutter-n-jelly-ca." He says up to Adam.

"Angelikya" the boggan says a bit huffy

"I said that." He nods.

"Hello, sir" the satyr boy says

"Adam is a StormCrasher. Adam, who is right?" He seems confident that this will be resolved!

Adam understands his pain. "What are you guys arguing about?"

"Jelly says we can't play rover." His tail droops and ears flop. "But I think she just doesn't want to get run into."

"It's not like we run HARD..."

Though he casts a glance over some of the farm childlings, cornfed and burly!

"Seems silly to waste recess fighting about what to play. Whoever wants to play river should play. Anyone who doesn't should play something else." Simply.

"But we need the same number on either side, if she doesn't play then someone else has to sit out too." His chin wobbles.

"Rovers are Trolls"

Angelicka huffs

"So what?" He asks reasonably. "A boggan could be a rover, couldn't they?"

"Rovers are ALSO dogs sometimes, that's why we're called rovers! I'm gonna be a Knight Rover when I grow up."

"Noe, they couldn't be.." Angelikay says "it's a troll society, and we're troll guests. we can approopriate their culture" She says and looks at Connor "That's not a real rover"

"Is too!" Jack counters brilliantly!

"Well who says?" Adam seeks sources.

"Yeah! I bet there are OTHER rovers. Or if not, I can just be the first." His chin sticks out. "No one told you you just have to cook and clean n sew and stuff did they? Miss Lucia is a boggan and she flies on quests!" The fact that it was a babysitting quest is not mentioned...

"The Rovers protect us as we travel, they Do IMPORTANT things" Angelikya says

"I can do important things...." His ears droop and he sounds less certain.

"Connor protects us from boredom" Jack says "Tell em, Adam!"

"Damn.. darn right he does. I know a Fiona troll and a warrior pooka. Isn't it important that we get to do whatever we dream of doing? Why limit yourself?"

Angelikya says "But.. but" she did not expect a nearly kind of grown up to take the other side

Connor gives Adam a bright smile! "Yeah!" But he also looks to Angelika as well, and tilts his head. "Is there a game you would like to play next? It's fairs-fair after all?"

"Fairy fair?"

"I don't feel like playing" And off she goes, nose in the air.

Jack Flap says "She's a sore loser"

"Maybe?" He looks uncertain, but reaches up and pats Adam on the arm. "Do you want to play with us?"

A clammy hug around Adam's leg! Geezh

Adam grins at the offer. "Thanks, but I might be too big." Then he starts at the hug and looks down.

Lily looks up "hi. i..kind of missed you"

"But you didn't even throw anything." Connor says with a grin.

"Lil!" Adam drops and hugs her.

"How are you doing? You ok?"

She hugs him "i'm good. really. dad iss nice. and I talk to mom on the phone"

"Lilly doesn't play red rover. But she can watch! And when someone is OUT they get to be Dead Rover and if they don't remember to be Out she sneaks up and puts something down their shirt." He grins.

She smiles "And Connor says that if anyone falls down a well, he'll tell me about is i can throw beetles down on them"
