He nods agreement.

"Well, okay, if you insist. I may invite Claire to come here and join me when the shift is over. Is that okay?"

"I insist."

"Oh, do. We can talk about you behind your back. Plot and scheme, and so on."

A laugh "As long as fun is had." He smiles "I'll give her a text to let her know to come in when she's done even if she's late."

"Well, in that case...August, why don't you show me what you've done with your room since last I was here?" Patently false innocence.

"Well, there still isn't much furniture I'm afraid; I'll need to buy things when I'm finally out here. Mostly still cardboard boxes and camping gear." Honest puzzlement "I haven't really changed anything."

A roll of eyes then "Yup. Going to that guest room now. August, show her the room. She'll show you what you missed in it" And he heads off

"Ah... oh... okay?"

A sigh, and she looks to Magnus with a grin. "Good night. Wish me luck." Then turning to August, "Let me rephrase...." And she reaches up to give him a slow, deliberate kiss.

"Wha... mmmph...."

A voice from the hallway that might be 'good luck' and gone

After a few moments, she breaks the kiss, and whispers, "Now...show me your room?"

He cups her cheek, nods. "Yes." Then he slides his hand to hers, and leads her upstairs.

She pauses long enough to grab her bag, then vanishes up the stairs with him.
