Colton blushes and gives them space. Magnus doesn't 'watch' but he doesn't scurry off, rather enjoying his drink

His arms wind around her.

A pleased sound, and she drapes her arms around his neck...but after a moment, she pulls back. "But first...pie. Mustn't let all this go to waste, right? Oh...I've been spending too much time with boggans!"

"Pie? Ahh... yes, sure. Everyone, please help yourselves? Coradel, is there something I can get for you?"

"A slice of your favorite. Show me what you like." And she gives him a wink.

"Well, pumpkin. But the boggans at EarthRunes probably did a better job. Still...." He gets her a slice and offers whipped cream.

She spoons a dollop of whipped cream onto the pie, and licks a bit from her finger tip. "Mm...yes, not boggan-good, but still good." A look to the others. "Are you having any?"

August gets a small slice of pumpkin for himself and makes sure the others are served as well.

"I think Sparrow and Colton are having a talk in another room," Magnus says, "Should be back shortly. As for me? I'm texting a pooka. An adventure in itself. They do not only lie verbally"

"It must be a heavy burden to bear sometimes, I think. Not being able to speak straight, or communicate."

"Well, they can communicate, but yes, it's never directly. I think the best way around is never ask them a direct question. That almost FORCES their compulsion to go into overdrive"

August nods.

Coradel savors the pie. "I like to join into the game when it comes to talking with pooka. That usually makes it easier."

"Or at least, more entertaining."

A smile at that.

"It can be. Can't deny the creativity." He gets himself a slice of pie too.

"So, Magnus, who's the pooka? Anybody I know?"

"Pardon me." He murmurs and steps aside to work on his phone for a moment, then pockets it and returns.

A curious glance at August.

...as she savors the pie.

"No one you know," He says.

A bite, "Okay, this is good

"I didn't try to bake anything, I just found a local bakery.

"Well, well found, then."

"I'm glad you like it."

"Hunting is a noble tradition" A nod "Includes good bakeries"

A laugh, and she holds up a forkful and considers it. "This one must have put up quite the battle."

He chuckles. An element of tension he was carrying seems to have eased away.

She looks between the two of them. "I suppose you'll be leaving soon, then."

He glances at Magnus "I know we talked about.... but... tomorrow morning?"

"We can do that," he says

He nods, turns to Coradel. "Tomorrow morning."

She nods with a wry grin. "I thought as much."

"Sorry, some of the delay on telling you tonight was MY fault. Trying to assemble things."

Pie finished, he rinses and loads his plate, finishing his tea for the same ablutions.

"Well...it doesn't matter. You'll be back soon enough, at least as far as I will experience it. I just dislike the Dreaming separating us again." She hands her empty plate and cup to August.

He takes them with a smile and washes them up too.

He smiles at that, "You do realize that,particularly with Deryn ready to help you when you go off on a quest, you two will be able to quest together in the very near future yes?"

An amused look at Magnus. "Is that your way of telling me to be patient? Really, Magnus, you should know better." A tsk.

"Actually, I do mean it to be something you can look forward to. "

"Well, I do look forward to it. But waiting has never been my strength, has it?" An arch look at August for a response.

A chuckle

"Ahhh...." He blushes. "Far be it from me to criticise."

"No, indeed." She smiles.

He dries his hands on a dish towel and crosses back to Coradel.

She slips an arm around him. "Well, you're going to need to be well-rested if you're questing in the morning."

"I think that's my cue to leave too." He finishes his pie

"Ah." Still pink. "Magnus, we can find room for you. Stay.

"It doesn't make much sense for you to travel if you both need to leave together in the morning."
