"Yeah," Bertrand nods

"An artist's touch."

"Would be nice if I had at least a bit of hand it it's making" he sighs and glumphs

"Yes, yes it would. You're so talented, your work really touches up every place I've seen it." CC nods and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Bertrand...." Gently "If you don't, no one else will."

"And it'll just die." A frown, "I guess this is one I can't just go tell the folks at Rivervale to handle like I planned."

CC manages to hold back a smirk, mostly

He coughs. "Well. Perhaps there is another way to win... to attract. Someone?"

"Yeah, well, if it were a commoner hold, that might impress Sylvi" He says "No matter where it is."

"Perhaps there is such a place." He looks at CC.

"Wish Icould think it, I guess the club's just got me so busy..." SHe sighs "That it's making me addled."

With a deep breath. "Dearest, are you quite alright?"

"Just a little low on glamour myself I fear... I'll be fine" she smiles tiredly

Betrand blinks, realization, "But that could be furking it!"

"Cal... CC?" He sits up.

"What could be it?" She says

"Your club, sir, ma'am. You think it would make a good hold?"

He -looks- at CC.

He looks at both "See, it's close to my family...and if you'd let them stay for no trouble... that'd help them. And I did glass work there.... "

CC has a look of utter surprise "Well, I'm flattered. "

"What?" Surprise, confusion.

"Sorry, sir. I know you don't like attention but..." the Nocker says "It seems like a good set up. You can even afford to pay me fair" The boy has not lost all his business sense

"I would consider it a debt to pay you and yours off fair....." He looks at CC, and sips his drink.

"Well, we talking at least a thousand dollars on top of free access at anytime for my family right?" He says

CC nearly spits up her martinie

He chuckles. "No. But there is room to talk."

"You weren't so cynical when you were a childling" She says to bert with an amused recovery

"well, sorry ma'am, but I didn't fall off a turnip truck." He does blush a bit
