Bix seems surprised "Oh? Sure. Happy to help?"

A glance back to Sparrow and a shy smile of her own. "I was told... maybe you could teach me a little about Spring?"

Sparrow smiles and nods at that.

"Oh sure!" He says "It's a fantastic magic. Sylvi's probably better wiht it than I am, but I've got enough down to teach. Frankly the seasonal magics are a returned heritage of all fae, so it's appropriate that a returned kith learn it. When would be good for you to start?" Bix seems enthused.

"Well... this fine magician just hurt his back trying to help us."

"If it was up to me... aspirin, maybe an herbal compress to draw down the swelling?"

"So... perhaps a demonstration, Bix? You might be able to guide her..."

"OH sure.." He says "And good idea."

Otha says "He gets to show off. Gah"

Nessa looks to Bix and nods.. then to Zane. "If you do not mind, that is?"

"I'd be grateful" Zane says

Bix explains as he shows "A lot of time, Spring works well with water... like rain or cups. For example" He takes a goblet... a clean one, and chants over it "This Spring, MONSTER TRUCKS are back every SUNDAY SUNDAY! Behold the Rejuvinator, 18 tons of HEALING FURY!"

And the goblet fills with water that makes gargling roaring sounds "Here you go, Zane"

Zane sniffs "Looks a bit like it came out of an overheated radiator"

"Magic often reflects the bunk and the interests of the caster, you KNOW that" Bix says "now suck it up, Buttercup. This is for education"

Zane gulps it down

A quiet chuckle.

And Nessa can see the knot in the back go down entirely, feel it under her fingers if she touches... and the bruises shift colors and soon.. a healthy satyr .. just like that!

A soft gasp. "That's amazing!"

"Isn't it? Healing magics are one of the Dreaming's greatest gifts."

"Spring Mastery can actually renew more than health... " Bix explains... "And of course, we each have realms we excell at. I'm good with mechanical things, some are good with animals. I'm good enoug hwith fae related things that I could help Zane here. But Spring is often naturally drawn to nature, the green things of autumn world and dreaming alike. Chiefly, it's about renewal"

Zane says "you sound like Sir Franklyn there."

"Somehow I imagine you're not talking about licenses or certificates."

Bix actually looks flattered at that, but then answers with a smile to Nessa "Yes"

Bix goes on "Like the Baroness says, healing magics are among our greatest gifts. This is why I imagine so many are encouraged to study spring, but it's not common again yet. You like herbs right? Imagine being able to grow them anytime? "

Her eyes widen a bit. "I've mostly just gathered them wild... we never had the space to garden, outside of a few on my windowsills."

"Well, if Fort Davis has anything, it's space."

"Well, it's not just a garden, though my family are mostly farmers so we definitely have our agriculture uses, even things in the wild can benefit. Say a plant has like.. Dutch Elm Diesase, or some kind of rot? This can help that. Just like it can help some one"

"Have you ever met a plant that could talk?"

Sparrow shakes her head.

"Well, with willowhisper cantrips anything can... but you mean on its own?" He ponders then smiles, Bix grins "Yes. I know one. "

Zane raises a brow, then seems to get it, and decides to keep his yap shut

The Aesin looks surprised

"Oh! I guess Heddy isn't that special then..." Looking a little disappointed, but only for a moment, before she smiles. "Well, he's still special to me."

"Wait, you actually have a talking plant? " he says "And Heddy sounds very special. We know ONE.. the whole farm knows ONE. that's... out of like 20 plus of us"

"Is Heddy sentient? A lot of chimera aren't precisely self-aware..."

"Well, I don't know if I have him, per say, but he wanted to come see where I came from, so I brought him back. Not sure why I think it's a 'him', and that's just... Heddy for Hedera Helix, the ivy. Here...." And she dashes off with a clatters of hooves, only slowing to navigate a narrow corner.

Zane watches her go and sighs "Fantastic flanks" He mutters

...shortly returning, with a small pot, and a long trailer of creeping ivy twined up her arm and into her hair and mane. "Now, don't be nervous, they just want to admire you." She is saying softly as she clips back over.

A soft sigh. "Agreed."

"You sure?" Heddy writhes and winds behind her "They don't have clippers do they?"

"I won't let them clip you." She says, firmly.

Feathers fluff. "Oh, he does talk! Now, he's not carnivorous, right?"

"If they have any issue with you, I can take you back to a nice place with sun and soil..." She smiles to Sparrow. "Only to the extent that all plants are, in a sense." Holding out a tendril towards the Baroness. "Heddy, this is Baroness Derynwydd. She is like, the oak tree that we all shelter beneath here." Trying an analogy the plant may understand. "Her roots spread throughout and nourish us all."

"I can't even spell Carnivorous" heddy promises reassured by Nessa's assurances

Heddy says "oooo Oaks are strong"

Bix admits "okay, I have never met someone like Heddy, oen comes close but..she's not a Chimera"

Zane grins "Neat. Nice to meet you heddy"

"Hello there, Heddy."

"What is she?" Curious, to Bix.
