Sparrow is walking down the hallway... perhaps unaware that the Cherub in black is around the corner

Aim is taken

"Sparrow, look out!" Nessa calls out, as she rears nervously up onto her hind legs, front hooves kicking out! "It's trying to shoot you! Get! Go on!" Not sure if shooing works, but.. SHOO!

"What?" The sidhe turns, confused.

And the arrow flies...

But due to distraction, the aim is off... and an arrow zings PAST SPARROW

"Oh dear..."

the Cherub with the black hat curses "Tarnation, Philly, wait your turn"

"How DARE you try to shoot her?" Nessa retorts, angrily!

"Oh, Valentines."

"Sparrow, are you okay? Did it hit you?"

"It missed. Cupids can be a menace..."

"I know, Truthbranch, as a house, defends Love.... but..."

The Cherub hits the ground rolling "Going for the twofer"

"...Cupid?" She canters a step back, taking another look. "I just saw the arrows and thought you were being attacked..."

"Nessa, DODGE!"

"Wha- " She throws up her arms, trying to duck or deflect.

Sparrow leaps to the side!

Sparrow gets it right in the wing ..almost making it

and poor Nessa tries to deflect or dodge and ends up doing neighter, getting it right in the human stomach

"Right in the old butterfly jar" The Cupid says

"Oh, hell..." Sparrow reaches to retrieve the arrow.

Nessa reaches shaky hands to touch her stomach. A gut shot... that's bad... right? Brain going to first aid, and it's not good...

Crap. It hit meat under those feathers.

Crap. it.. wait.. she's not bleeding from the belly. It seems to have vanished notices Nessa

Indeed, the arrow turns to pink smoke before Sparrow can retrieve it.

Fingers probe her stomach, seeking the wound! Is she in shock, not feeling anything?

Not a mark on her

"If I close my eyes..."

"You're safe now, darling" A voice says "No one in the hall you can open your eyes"

"Who said that?"

"Uhm.." the cupid continues TRYINGG o maks his voice "Your loyal servant"

"Right. I don't believe you."

"Nessa, are you okay?"

She glances up at the question, her own voice confused. "I... think so? I thought I was shot, but there's no wound I can find..."

And Nessa sees Sparrow, she's SO beautiful.. she always was... and suddenly, if she wasn't thinking about it before, Nessa starts to see her in a romantic light. Wondering how well she kisses? Wondering what music she likes?

"I... I..." She swallows, suddenly speechless.

"Nessa, that was a cupid. If you keep your eyes closed, I think you can avoid the effects..."

"And we'll figure out a safe way to get out of this." She reaches out, feeling for the wall.

She swallows. "Oh.... oh. Um. Okay." Turning away, and trying to drag her gaze off Sparrow. But even without looking at her, she finds the Sidhe in her thoughts. She mustn't burden the Baroness with her inappropriate thoughts.

And Sparrow someone SWAT her on top of her head

it's not a strong blow. But sill surprising

"Ack!"

But does she open her eyes? No no she does not

"Cupids are chimera, and they cast love spells..." She explains, eyes closed.

"I didn't want to do this but..." a cupid tries to pry her eyelids open "Come on"
