The cupid says "It's banal to reject love's possilbities, you pesky winged varmint" Ignoring his own wings

"Oh no..."

"it's okay, Baroness. Here..." She trots over and flaps a hand at the Cupid. "You - SHOO. Or I'll call my mother, and she'll show you what REAL arrows are." A stomp of a hoof. Gentle hands reach out and touch one of Sparrow's. "Here... I can shield your eyes..."

And they are definitely NOT Cupid eyes as the cupid is shooed away

She takes the hand. "Oh, Nessa, I'm so sorry. For what it is worth, the feelings should pass..."

Light gauze is softly wrapped around Sparrow's head, covering her eyes, should she not object. "You look like Lady Justice now..." Her tone, softly admiring in spite of herself.

Sparrow laughs. "You are kind and clever."

Her hands, perhaps lingering just a MOMENT longer than necessary as she tucks the gauze end in... and brushes a stray bit of that lovely red hair behind a delicately pointed ear.

"Baroness, is everything okay?" " A voice says

"Do you mind helping me to the great hall? I can make sure Hope is set up, and maybe wait this out..."

"CUPIDS!"

Nessa drops her hands suddenly and steps back, cheeks burning.

"I wasn't..."

"You're fine, Nessa."

Little Joe says "Cupids? Uhmm" He sounds nervous but offers a meaty hand to assist

"Damn they feed them a lot around here, don't you worry fella, I'll find you a woman who likes em tall, but right now I gotta git" And more fluttering

"They do come out on the holiday. Usually at FIona holds..."

Little Joe says "you okay, Nessa?" Even as he moves with them to the great hall

Helping guide the blind folded Baroness

Nessa was ready to take one of Sparrow's arms to guide her, but as Little Joe does, she hangs back. "I think... maybe I should go..." Even as she trails after them, not wanting to let her leave her sight.

A sigh. Not upset, but ruffled. "I am so sorry for the trouble.."

Clicking of hooves telling Sparrow that she is still following.

"Nessa, if you are hit, it's... fine, yes? I'm not upset."

"Cupid stings are nasty, but if you don't give in, they go away.. usually" Joe grunts

Itt's that usually part

Soft hoofbeats. "I'm okay." She swallows. "I think it missed me, actually. I was just startled."

And.. before nessa, Sparrow seems so brave, practically BLINDED and she keeeps on with such dignity

Little Joe grunts "Yeah?"

"There's no shame in it. I just.. I..."

"I wouldn't want to... there's ethics, as the Baroness..."

Sparrow is so brave, so kind and so forgiving. But she does so much for everyone... she doesn't need to be burderned further...
"No, it just whisked through my mane." She lies. "I was worried that you were hurt... it got you in the wing, and if you couldn't fly..." Remembering how free and glorious the Baroness looked soaring above...

"Oh, I'm glad you are safe. Love spells can be very overwhelming."

"But they pass. Little Joe said... right?" Giving the large troll a pleading look. "In case there are more of those around. Should we... warn people?"

"Then it's just you we have to worry about , Baroness " Little Joe says noddingg

Little Joe looks curiously at Centaur, and he tilts his head

"What happens if she looks in a mirror? Healthy self-love? Or would she... pine away, like Narcissus?

Nessa is gazing longingly at Sparrow again now.

"Bad idea that.. I think" Joe says "Not sure . We should warn others. Maybe see if the Seer can help fix this"

Sparrow shudders. "I hope not. Sounds like me Unseelie, and it's not fun."

"Well, Unseelie me enjoys it."

"You can't just be blinded until it wears off. What if it's like Valentine's candy, and is around all month?" She says, reasonably. "It... Sparrow, Baroness? Maybe this is inappropriate but... If you wanted, I could help you get around. You could, um." Cheeks flaring a bit. "Ride... me?" oh, how that SOUNDS.

Oh joyous thought that

A little smile. "That's very kind, Nessa. But I think I can try waiting out the day...."

"I wouldn't mind, if it was you..."

"You certainly cannot fly, blinded, but if I were to run, it feels almost as though I'm as free as you look in the sky..."

Sparrow has her seat in the great hall

"I agree, it looks joyful when you run."

Joe scratches his head, then says "I shall go alert others and get the seer"
