"I know, I could just give in... but..."

Bix pulls out his phone

Wouldn't be it be wonderful if she WOULD given in? The thought enters Nessa's brain. Just look at her, and they could be together.

"You have to do what feels right to you..." Nessa murmurs, her eyes drawn once more to rest on Sparrow.

The sidhe sags back in her seat, wings relieved by cutouts. "I am not looking to fall in infatuation. It usually ends badly for me."

"Did someone hurt you?" She asks, tentatively, though her heart races. Who would dare? Who COULD dare?

"It.. well."

"Well. Usually it just wasn't a good fit. Jeanette and Ludmilla found each other, so I.. exited..."

Otha says "Love is a high stakes matter" Sympathetic

"Laoghaire... in one life, we did love. But in this one, she has found her own path..." Sparrow nods.

"Sassafras..." She trails off with a sigh. "She was never mine."

"Zane will be here as soon as he can but even at a rush it might be an hour" Bix says finally

"Well, Nessa's blindfold should suffice for that long."

A soft sigh, at hearing her own name leave Sparrow's lips.

"I've never been in love..." Before... she thinks.

"Love can be wonderful. 'True love conquers all' is... is as much a truth as 'beauty if life."

"Does it always feel like your heart is... like a frightened bird, trying to escape your chest? Scary, and yet... somehow, exciting?" She whispers, a hand pressing to her own chest.

A sigh. "Yes. Yes, it does. Flying with your feet on the ground."

"Like running into the wind..."

"Exactly."

Bix sighs wistfully

Otha says "It's more like stepping in something warm and soft for me and realizing you now will take forever to get it off"

A soft sigh of her own.

"Oh, I imagine someone curls your toes, Otha."

"As i see no Gwydion here. I'll just say no, no one ever" Lofty

Bix rolls his eyes

and then... Little Joe comes over "We have two new prison..err visitors from Rivervale. Zane, and Gerd"

That darn dungeon ward. She thought she got that fixed

"Ah. Please see them up?"

With Dio's renovations, it's more of a pleasant lobby... just, well, a locked one.

Little Joe grunts, gives a look to Nessa and squints, then says "Okay" And goes on down.

Otha says "he forgets to say Baroness half the time" Clearly she finds this improper

"He's doing the work, does it matter?" Bix asks. PErhaps he just likes arguing with her

"I have set a level of informality, outside of court."

"Yes but he may forgett it in court" she says

"you mean 'he may forget it in court, Baroness'" Bix smirks

"I CAN hex you, you know that right?" Otha says

"I don't think he will. I have faith in my people here."

Gerd comes up "I'm just saying we COULD have pickeed the lock"

"Could you not talk about that in front of the T-R-O-L-L?" Zane says

"I AM a T-R-O-L-L" Gerd says and one can hear the eye roll

"Also, I can S-P-E-L-L" Little Joe says as they come into view

Gerd bows when she sees Sparrow "Hearths' Ember Gerd Hornshield, Baroness. You may have already met Zane Wayburton, PIllar of Mountain"

"And wizard in training" Zane adds bowing

"Hearth's Ember? That sounds like a story, Gerd. Hello and welcome to you both."

"It means at the lodge my duties mostly align with assiting the Hearth" A smile "As I've grown up now and all" Then she adds "I still love Rikki Tikki though"

Smile. "I'm glad. Pardon if I am speaking to some random spot of air, I seem to be in a pickle."

Zane kens

then says "Cupids right. Don't worry, I'll get everyone fixed up"
