Dagmar's brow implores!... or at least questions

Brekke quietly says, "He is a guardian. I am content with that. Let us go."

Dag nods.

Brekke backs Stormwake a bit and then turns to follow their own trail back out.

The two ride along.

Brekke clears her throat. A slight purpling of her face. "You did well," she says, a significant understatement.

"Huh?"

"You did well," she repeats. "When I... I could not speak."

Blink. "Oh. I... thanks? He was really, really impressive."

"Truly so. You must record what he said, about his nature."

"You are really that impressive, so it makes sense, I think?"

A glance at Dagmar. "I do not think that was directed at me alone. You are part of the strength and honor of Rivervale. An important part of it."

"I've hardly been home the past few months. You, and Kerri, and Frank, and Vali - I mean, you're the heart of the place."

Brekke gives her a brow. "Even absent, you are part of it as well. You are thought of and mentioned in your absence. Do not doubt it."

A quirk of a smile, brief.

"It's nice being home."

"I am glad. And it is good that you have made progress with May."

"That treasure was a lifesaver."

"Mm." A nod, pleased that it works.

"I don't think we'd have gotten her to try to get off the pills without it. And those are... scary. Don't like the idea of chemicals that mess with your head."

"They are too easily misused. I am suspicious of them. But...some say they can be used well. I do not know."

"HELP!" A familiar voice cries out from some trees in the distance

Brekke spurs Stormwake forward.

Stormwake moves across forest floor with skill only a fae horse could manage without losing speed

Dag follows!

Of course she knows the voice. She looks up, expecting to see.... (?)

Snowball appears to be in a large Chimerical ...wait, some kind of Venus Fly trap! In it's mouth , like a siren lure, dangles two apples.. no, apple shaped tonsils. It is in the process of closing her in

"NOT FRUIT! NOT FRUIT! Oh cruel treachery!" Snow wails

Brekke gestures as if throwing a lasso, casting Hopscotch to pop Snowball out of the plant's grip.

Alas, it seems the grip is sticky or something, though it does cause the chimera's 'head' to bob low as it reels from the hopscotch attempt. Bringing it down for a moment to weapon reach with Snow inside that head

Dag pulls Flyswatter, trying to hook the trap with it.

She hooks it. Were it anyone but a troll, it would free it'se easily from this hooking manuever, but Dagmar has strength to burn, and she holds it fast AND keeps it from swallowing

"Snow, just keep calm..."

Brekke tries to reach Snow directly, to yank her free.

Brekke's grim hand makes its way through and grabs the monkey...

and pulls her to safety!

The Giant Fly..er Monkey trap sways angrily... but the trolls are too big for it to eat so tough stuff for it.

"And this is one I wouldn't object to cutting down."

"Agreed. Cut away."

Brekke tries to set Snow down, though the sticky stuff might make that tricky.

"Not Fruit!" Snow shivers a bit tramuatized. It's not the near death. She had a similiar reaction with those wax grapes

"You are safe now. Learn to check before you grab."

"Yes yes, Snow should grab fruit. Fruit should NOT grab back!"

"Snow should look before grabbing."

Brekke doubts Snow is learning the right message here.

"Remember the hot cobbler when you burned yourself?"

"Or the time you got rambutan spines stuck in your palm?"

Bemused. She has not heard these stories.

Snow nods "Yes, snow remembers... surely it will never happen again"

"It will, if you do not change your behavior."
