For Dagmar, the order to keep up with the cenus anyway, has lead to some interesting opportuntiies

"No really" Ramona aka the boggan wilder WITHOUT Wings says "It looked like a moose with eyes on it's antlers"

"Kinda freaky."

"Actually kind of pretty. They weren't scary eyes. Almost like a peacock's tail?"

"Yeah?"

"Oh yes... I was impressed. Like..awe struck? It went over the hill and then was gone. I don't know if you can still find it"

"Well, I can look. And I can report even if I didn't see it with my own eyes."

"I mean, I'd know if you were making it up, yeah?"

"Oh no. I'll say it again while you use the booon all official if you like?" She is not offended

"We're good, Ramona."

"No problem. I don't think it was a BAD Chimera." She says "So please don't let it get hurt if you can help it?"

"Hey, you know me."

"Yeah... " Sheepish "Sorry, should have known better. YOu'll probably try to adopt it"

A wry grin.

"Mom'll say no, but I can probably ocnvince Dad."

Ramona laughs at that "Okay. Thanks, Dagmar. If Oh" A thought "You might want to talk to Jimmy. He saw some sort of weird bird. He's taking care of it."

"Weird bird? Okay."

"Yup." She nods "he's with his grandma again"

And, well, Dagmar knows where that is

Even if she sometimes forgets Timmy whatsizname's name

"Anything else I should be alert for?"

"Oh.. well," Gossip at work boggan style "Tikki says he fought a dragon outside a pub and got a prize. But you know, while he's not as bad as his sister, he's still a pooka so who knows what that meant"

"Could be anything from a iguana to an Ailil."

"Well, hes' not much of a boozer, but I have seen him at the Saucy Scott tavern so maybe it is there?"

Sigh, nod.

"Oh well, I'll keep an ear out for more chimera gossip If I hear it, but that's all I got. Thanks for looking into it" smile

And off she goes

While Dagmar has.. three leads

The bar.... can wait. She dislikes them.

She and Star can head out moose hunting, first!

Star is eager to go! No sooner does Dagmar explain the job to her (ANd of course Star is happy to be consulted as a peer) than the mare nods and stamps the ground waiting for her saddle

The good saddle, and halter. Just in case.

And soon rider and horse are heading towards the area they were told of.

All the training and practice from the Chief comes in handy. Dagmar has learned how to find tracks and so on. So on the hil, she finds the chimerical hoof print that definitely looks moose like. And it heads West

So west she goes

And finds another troll... one she knows well

When she had gone to saddle Star, Dagmar of course noticed that the Chieftain had already taken Stormwake out. And that's who she meets while riding. Brekke nods a greeting to her.

"Chief." A gentle touch of her heels, encouraging Star to catch up.

"Dame. Patrolling?"

"Sort of - Chimera census. Good news, May hasn't taken her pills in days. Says she's not had any nightmares. And she... almost glimmered at the movie last night."

A blink, and a pleased expression. "That is a very rapid improvement. It is good to hear."

"Ramona saw a fancy moose-type out this way, so I'm hoping to spot it. And yeah, that treasure was a lifesaver."

"Moose? I have not seen any." She frowns and regards the terrain.

Only now does Brekke notice that some of the chimeric aspects of the terrain have been parted

"Hm. I had not been seeking moose trail, but..." she points to indicate the evidence of passage.
