Speaker CRASHES down upon the ogre's shoulder before he can land a blow.

"Oops..." he pulls out another , this one made of Silver with an onyx "Oh wait, better get that back to Dee" then "Ah ha!" THIS time Ernie gets the right one

The New York stater had expected might, he hadn't expected speed! The first smash to his shoulder throws him off for her second blow, and the third brings him down to his knees

Brekke doesn't give him a chance to regroup. When he's on his knees, she smacks his weapon out of his hand and holds Speaker ready for another blow. "Yield." she demands.

DAGMAR notices a squire , a wilder sidhe in the crowd frowning as the thane is smashed down. She wears the same symbol the thane does.

"I yield" He says, seeming more surprised than angry or scared

'WINNER, Chieftain Brekke of Rivervale!"

Sylvi says, "That's it." She holds her hand out for the ring, though she's distracted by the opportunity to cheer for Rivervale!

Brekke immediately shifts Speaker to her off hand, and extends a hand to the Thane to help him to his feet.

The Thane takes it, and nods. He's not happy but he's not rude

"Thank you," Brekke says to the Thane. Then she turns and nods to the cheers as she heads back to the Rivervale contingent.

Siv whoops "JERSEYYY!"

An eye on the sidhe, wary.

"Huzzah, Shacklebreaker!"

Brekke gives a hint of a grin at Siv's wild cheer, and a nod of gratitude to Dagmar.

"That was fast," Sylvi comments, and then makes sure she actually got her ring.

It's hers (But int plus alertness for Sylvi, 2 sux needed)

She slips her ring on her little finger.

"Next Match, Olgar of the Rovers against Sir Thewlyf ap Aesin also of the Barony of the Bold Heart"

Not all Aesin are asses. Doomwind is proof of that. yet this one seems to have a disdain for the non sidhe in the crowd and the one before him

Brekke takes off her helm and settles in to watch Olgar's match.

Thelwyf and Olgar move around each other like a pair of wolves, circling, ,then lunging. Exchanges happen, back and forth. But bit by bit, it becomes apparent Olgar is...losing

Brekke has a great poker face. Sylvi doesn't. She looks worried. "C'mon, Dad!" she yells.

"C'mon Olgar!"

Olgar gets a solid hit staggering the Aesin sidhe... Olgar moves to finish him off... but then, Thelwyf's feint shows and he Pierces OLGAR through and the Rover drops. He won't die, the magics prevent chimerical death, but he is laid out, unable to move

Scowl.

"Victory, Sir Thelwyf" A voice calls

Sylvi gasps! Magics or not, that's NOT something she wants to see! "Dad!"

As soon as she can, she runs into the ring to help.

Sir Thewlwyf says something, and Sylvi, closing hears it "Don't be ashamed for falling, you're a credit to... your people" then moves off the stage to await his next victory

"WHAT?!" she GLARES at the knight as he goes off the field.

Medics are moving forward

She stands beside her father.

And a heatherbalm stirs him, he gets to his knees "That guy's mother... may have missed the wedding" ANd with effort, he walks off, Sylvi by his side
