Her nose wrinkles up a bit. "What's he doing out here?" She wonders aloud.

"I don't know, but I dont' like it..."

She slows down a bit and stays a little closer to Zane.

"He's been really torn up lately.. his folks.. I don't know, he got so worked up I was worried they were beating him or stuff.. but no.. I gues it's just...Adam." he looks around and then "Careful alleyways can be treacherous.." But they do go after the star

She nods, but looks a little concerned. "What would he be doing out here though? Do you think... drugs? Or that guy, the one who left the message. Maybe he's some sort of pusher - or a new kidnap heist, like they get his info and pretend... Oh I don't know. But I don't like this..."

"I don't like it my.. oh.. it's just two homeless people digging ina dumpster"

The ugly old bum and a bag lady are sorting through prizes

"Maybe we should go home. Or go to Adam's house, check on him there, he's probably just sleeping or something..." She whispers over to Zane.

The star flickers before the smelly man

"I bet the spell... botched, or something. Unless they stole his stuff... or... " She grabs Zane's arm. "What if he's IN the dumpster?"

Her voice tight with fear.

The bum, holding an old-style doctor's bag that he's fitting a cracked crystal ball into, looks up at the star. Which he shouldn't be able to see?

She Kenns the bum and the bum lady. Bumess? Bumita?

No glamour in him...

What he DOES see for sure is.. two mortal teens that look familiar

minus the horns and hooves

A glance over at Zane, and she calls out, a bit tentatively - "Hey! Hey you there..."

The bum lowers his head and weaves it back and forth, like a sick animal; uncertain, hurting.

"Hey," the ugly bag lady aged by a hard life more than time says "Beat it, you punks! He's been through enough today." Then she says to her compatriot "Hang in there, Adam. sometimes they're just out for kicks. These teenagers.. try to tape you or talk you into bum fights"

He mumbles "..... familiar....."

Reaching over, she grabs Zane's arm and gives it a squeeze, not sure if he caught what her ears did, it was hard to make out, but she's sure of it. "We're just looking for our friend. We... uh. Were told he was seen around here. I don't want any trouble..."

"His name is Adam. Adam Thomas..."

The bum looks up, eyes lost and confused. "S'me. I'm Adam Thomas."

Zane blinks "The heck? Wingman?" Staring

A whisper to Zane. "Could your spell be wrong? No, here. you're better than I am. Does he have a fuddle on him? Or... shape change?"

Filthy fingers wind through matted hair and he grips hard.

"I.... I lost something. I don't remember."

She takes a step closer and calls out. "Adam. Son of Brenda and Kyle. Brother of Lily."

"Do you know who you are? Are you... are you... who we think you might be?"

"Who are you people?" The woman steps forward "I am Didi, bashers of young punks if they hurt a friend"

"Didi, they know me. Those are my family. My mom and dad, and my sister."

She shoots the lady a glance, but doesn't back down. "It's me... Piper. Don't you know me?" Taking a step closer, with a wary eye on Didi. A hand extended towards the old man.

Now he just looks infinitely sad.

Zane says "I don't ..it's not glamour.. but maybe.. hold on" He makes a gesture i nthe air...

She pulls out her phone, clicks on the speaker, and plays part of a message... in the same voice as the old man. ""Piper, it's Adam. Listen, this is important...."

"You called me." A glance back at Zane and cutting off the message there.

"It's him.. I mean, it's Adam.. he's.. he's been poured from one vessel to another!"

Zane gasps "Holy shit this is..serious mojo"

"I did?" It -sounds- like the same voice.

Her lower lip trembles. "Adam? Is it really you?"

Holding a hand out to him, she takes a step closer.

Didi blinks "You kids really know him? He's.. look, he did me a good turn.. tried to help me... he was desperate to call people. Did he call you?"

"He took my body." His tone is hurt; like someone took a child's candy.

A nod to Didi. The teen is rather unthreatening - 5' nothing white girl, she's not even wearing a jacket where she could hide a weapon. "Crash of the Storm... ?" She says, stepping closer, enough that he could take her hand, if he wanted to.

Her fingers tingle with glamour, she gave some up earlier, but she offers a bit more out to Adam. Not that he can see it...

"Body? What..." Didi says

"here, this might explain it." Zane hands over something to Didi

Didi takes it then "HOLY SHIT! The preachers were right... "

"Didi, you ok?"

"Not quite.." Zane says "Look.. i Know it's hard to explain ,but now I can talke freely... we're not monsters, we're ..just different. Okay? And we ant to help adam. Please, "

A concerned glance at Didi from the smaller of the two demonic children.
