She murmurs to Zane, "You're getting kinda scary good at that stuff."

"I..." A goofy grin "Thanks, PIper. And.. maybe you gave us a lesson on the need to improvise and progress just al ittle."

"When you stop moving, it means you're dead. And might as well move in a good direction if you can." A grin. But, a glance back over at the twins and Brenda. "They'll still get some community service type stuff to do, right? And more learning for Mrs. Thomas?"

"Of course, dad will be on teaching Mrs. thomas like white on rice. He might seduce coeds, but my dad is.. teaching is part of his soul. And he's as fierce as any troll fighting for a student." A glance over "even a milfy one with anger issuses"

"Should I get some drinks now? Or is there more business we have to go over?"

"I wanted to call Adam once it was all through too. Not sure if he knew his mom was on punishment tonight, but he might appreciate knowing it's taken care of..."

"I think we can all get drinks.. yes, a celebration... Etsie, will you take charge?" the professor says

"Sure will, Cornelius" She beams

And.. well, drinks are served, and a party commences...

She pulls out her phone off to one side, and notices a missed call. And, rings Adam's number back.

No answer

She tries again, then listens to the voicemail.

A look of confusion, then suspicion. She glances at the number - not recognized... and frowns, and listens again. "...the hell?"

Odd night

Well if she wants she can join the party. Brenda is bestowing some very grateful kisses

as are the sisters

She calls Adam's house.

No answer

She listens to the voicemail again, and now looks troubled. Over to Zane, she tugs him aside. "Hey... do you know what's going on with Adam? Wait, gotta be more specific. Something is... weird. Really weird." And she plays the message for him. "No answer at his place or phone... but maybe it's some sort of prank? Do you know that..." She gestures vaguely. "The wispy-cantrip? The one that can find people?"

"Uhm. .actually" he reaches into his pocket and pulls out what looks like a little black book, the sort that guys USED to carry before contact lists

She blinks at that. “Gonna call... for booty? Not sure that will help.”

"No no, it's a treasure..." He gestures over it "Looking for my best wingman"

and a series of floating gold stars drifts off and starts to float.. in a direction

“Oooh...” she looks impressed and a little envious. “Any idea how far?” She starts to move after the star...

"Five miles is the furthest "

She stretches for a moment. “Well, that’s a morning jog. Let’s figure this out. Or... I mean, if it will keep going? You don’t have to leave the party.” She offers

"If Adam's in trouble, I'll pass..." He frowns and looks..annoyed/embarrassed by something and he mutters

“What?”

“I mean, equal odds this is just some joke. He has been flirting with a as couple pooka. Maybe they thought this was funny. I don’t want to interrupt a booty call.” Though her expression says maybe she would.

"Oh... sorry.. I mean I'll pass on the party anyway.. I.." he follows the star "Honestly? I get the feeling that i've got a really GOOD shot at having sex with Leya , Lola, or even Brenda maybe... but ..as an apology? And... I don't know, something feels wrong about getting it easy because someone feels guilty. It know.. it's stupid, but for some reason I just don't want to be around and get tempted by that because it feels.. what's that word when something you would normally want is got the wrong way?"

She looks thoughtful. “If you’d asked me before the seasons changed... I feel like I might have had a different answer. “

“Does it makes a difference to you if it was out of gratitude rather than guilt?”

“Hey! I thought moms were off limits.” A teasing look.

"YEah.. I guess ... I... yeah. I guess it's shallow but gratitude at least makes me feel like i'm a good person... though it still may not be something I want to... let's just say I don't want to dip 'Mighty Third Horn Magnifico' into Guilt trip"

Then he grins "yeah yeah... off limits .. because it would hurt my buddy's feelings. " A low whisper "Though I do sometimes wonder if something happened on Samhain"

She gives an appraising glance over at Brenda. “I only have one thing to say.” Thumbs up.

“Oh, will it get away?” She glances back up at the stars.

Worried that the wisp moved on without them

"Yup... pick up the pace" He says booking

She grins and takes after him. "Do you think it will go faster if we go faster?" Picking up the pace a bit.

"Not too much... " And indeed, as satyrs they can keep up... it seems almost like it gets pushed.

She shoots Zane a look and a sudden grin - the streets are empty due to the lockdown, it's a cool, crisp night, and she says impishly - "Race ya?"

"Well, that's a very immature..." And he runs

Trying to get the first step in before saying go 🙂

"Cheater!" She laughs, reaches out and will grab the back of his jacket to throw him off balance if she can, and darts after the wisp as well!"

And she does.. yanking him back, and taking the lead! It's like when they were kids! Why she bets he'll even say...

"No fair!"

Yup... somethings don't change

A glance around her as they go, trying to keep their bearings.

Getting into the thicker.. uglier part of town here.
