It was the day Tove slipped on the stairs

no big deal. She's young still, and strong as any troll

but ,well, somewould consider her more fragile now.. or at least, carrying something..someone, fragile within.

"DAD!!!!" Dagmar heard the sound, and she ran towards it.

For once, Jaymes is in the kitchen, but when he hears that tone, he drops what he's doing and comes out.

Dagmar is already bounding up the stairs...

even as her Tove falls backwards and then realizing she is...twists, willing to break her spine rather than risk the baby if she can...

It likely happens too fast for either Dagmar or Jaymes to do much until Tove's down. But the former rushes to Tove's side. "No, no, no.."

Tove slides... but the actual impact is.... againstDagmar...

"Tove, Dagmar are...

"She caught me on the first bounce" Tove says breathing hard, eyes white "If she hadn't I would have.."

Dagmar buzzes with glamour...tapping into something primal. Protect the helpless.

Dag is holding Tove. "Balefire. Just in case."

"We should get you to the hospital.." Jaymes says

"Jaymes, I'm fine, the baby's fine.. nothing... I almost took a a wham to the spine, but the baby is okay"

"You should be more CAREFUL!"

"She's right" Jaymes says

Tove looks at both of them, "I will. I'm sorry I scared us all."

"Balefire?"

"Yes, fine, Balefire" Tove says "if it will stop you both from fussing."

"Hurumph!" (might keep us from fussing MORE)

Jaw-jut, as if the scowl will hide the worry.

Tove, now a hostage of concern, tries to get ready to go. Only to find Jaymes being the ohne who gets her coat while Dagmar helps her down the steps

and out they go to the lodge.
