Adam sees his father, drawing. His father is in marketing, that's not unusual. He doodles weird little toons all the time.

Then he has a professional artist run with the idea if he thinks it's good.

What catches him off guard is what, or WHO he sees his father drawing.

A girl with her hair blowing in the wind as she swings a basball bat knocking a storm into the sunlit sky. It's.. it's Demi!

Adam blinks and goes over, showing interest in his father's work (Unusual!)

'How goes it, son?" His father says while still working

"Where did you see -her-?"

He blurts.

"Huh? Oh, you met Demi," He says "She seems nice, doesn't she?"

"Yeah, she did. Where did you meet her?"

"Out on one of my patrols. She's apparently born of dreams of spring...and since my latest job has some spring themed products, well, I thought she might catch the fancy of our latest client"

Adam thinks about it, frowns. "Will she be ok?"

"I suppose so, son. She seemed pretty hardy. Nab seems...firmer.." Ahem as he realizes how that can be taken "But she's sturdy enough. WHere did you meet her?"

"No, I mean, if you use her for marketing.... will that hurt her?"

"I don't ... " He pauses "Mmm no I don't think so."

"You don't -think- so?"

"Well son, I'm new to a lot of this too." he says "People use dragons for marketing, and apparently dragons are still around.. so.. I don't think so."

"But she's new..... young."

"Well, I'll talk to Frank about it then. Maybe change up the image a bit. Now, where did YOU meet her?"

"I, uh.... at the Lodge. Kinda. Yes, the Lodge."

"Son, I get the feeling you're not giving me the whole story" Kyle Thomas looks at him, "I get you want some privacy, but you're dealing with a man who is advertising for a living. Don't you think I might notice when someone attempts to sell me something?" A brow

"She, uh.... well, there was this thing at school, and I took it to the Lodge, and Mr. Davidson helped me make her.... real. You know, Chimerically real."

"Oh, so you're a dad?" A bouble blink

"What?!?!"

"Well, you said you made her... so in a way..."

"Mr. -Davidson- did the magic part. I just thought about Spring."

"Oh... so, mmm guess that makes him the mother" solemn nod

"EW!! DAD!!"

A snort "Ok sorry sorry. That wasn't cool of me to even joke"

"Dude...." Muttered.

"Don't hurt her, ok?"

Then he looks at his son, "Okay. I'll find out before I send any ideas out to the office. I'll talk to Olgar and Frank both. Cool?"

"Thanks, Dad." Relief. "Just... like I said to Mr. Davidson, we're supposed to protect stuff weaker than us, right?"

"Sounds like you're taking that code of dagda to heart "

"Dag.... Dagmar explained it to me. And the Mountain guy talked about Seelie and Unseelie."

"Feeling on the seelie side then?"

Blink. "How... how would I know? I mean, sure, I guess......"

"I'm not sure myself... " He says 'Seems most folks drift towards one side or the other. Heck, for all I knwo your sister is unseelie. It's...strange. I work with symbols and ideals all the time, but here ... it's almost like the symbol can be more real, more powerful, than what it represents. So this code stuff... it's not just words."

"Dagda is for Trolls." With sure wisdom.

"Yeah, apparently both courts yield to it. No reason you cano't follow it if you see value in it though" A nod

A shrug. "I guess."

"Someone saying you can't?" A frown

"No."

"Good."

"Ok. Uh. So....."

"So..." his father says "What I want to do, is ask you about your school work and the usual. What I'm going to do is let you choose the subject.. .or, if you want to escape, run off have fun. I miss you sometimes but I don't want you to feel trapped"

Adam .... hesitates. "You know I love you, right?"

A nod, "Yes, but it's good to hear. Hey..." A thought "you want to go fishing some time? We can invite a friend of yours if you want. I kind of miss it."

An odd face but..... "Yeah. Yeah, ok. I'll ask around, see if anyone wants. Even if not, we'll go." Pause. "Not a Friday or Saturday, ok?"
