Adam returns to school... just in time for lunch

Could be worse....He hops along to lunch.

LUcia, now with wings, shows up "Hey.. got a moment?"

"Uh. Yeah. Sure. New look?"

"These old things?" SHe say with a brow "Got em on a quest. But taht's not what I wanted to talk about. It's your friend, Zane"

"What about him? He ok?"

"MOre or less, but I hear he's dateless for the dance"

"Maya didn't ask him??"

"Maya's family won't let her invite a boy to dance."

"Oohhh..." understanding "She can't sneak out?"

"I don't think she's brave enough for that... anyway, it's really soon and he has no date. Now..have you noticed any girls checking him out?"

Adm has seen a few, Zane has a rep for being the kind of guy you did the 'wrong stuff' you'd remember fondly later on... but some of them are not attractive.

"Hell yeah, he's a sexy dude. Who are you taking?" Adam grins.

"My Canadian boyfriend" she says "What girls have been checking him out?"

"Because I'm not attracted to him that way, and it would upset my Canadain Boyfriend I invited"

"Couldn't you go as friends?"

"Don't you think he deserves more than that?" She says

"i mean, wouldn't it be best at least if the seed of romance was there?"

"Sure!!" Adam has a happy smile, a bit dopey really. "But you know... making the scene at least." A shrug. "Up to you, obvs."

"Trust me to know my biz. And again... I can't go with him, even as a friend. I have a date."
