"What about the rest of patrol?" Adam picks up the sharp pointy and after some thought carries it in his tri-corner hat.

For once, the two who don't like each other agree it seems "We got this. Girls taking up hearthing? We'll be the bolts of the storm"

It's possible that either the Hearth herself in afever dream, or those concerned about her, created this without realizing it.

A sigh, and she Hollystrikes what's left of the thing, just to get it out of sight more quickly. Let it subside into the ground. There will be more to deal with.

Once it returns to dust, she wipes her hands and turns to patrol in another direction.

Adam and Dirk walk and patrol, healthy if smelly. "You gonna make a dagger out of it? You know how to smith?"

"Nah. But Sally May is going to hook me up with some odd jobs for Glamour so maybe I can pay someone to make it."

"Yeah, she's hot for a math geek"

Adam nods agreement.

"Not sure what the fuck Symon is going to do with a spider eyeball, but he's inventive"

"He seems like a cool guy. Don't know him that well, though."

"Ah, he's a scrawny little creep, but he's got brains."

"He's good at math too, right?"

"Yeah... The Doc makes him learn so now Numbers are Symon's bitch. You need help or something?"

Adam shrugs. "I do ok. Not going to be a scientist or anything, ya know?"

"Yeah. I get it." A nod. There are no more nightmares

At the end of the patrol, Adam stretches. "Ok. Good workout. Figure extra patrols till Hearth Kerri is better? Like... double up, or more?"

"Seeing I was right huh?" A shrug "Yeah, we gotta step up. Chief needs us. Hearth needs us. Also... killing shit is fun."

Adam cocks an eyebrow. "Not so much you're right, as finding out new info. She's sick, people are stretched, so yeah. Step up."

"Like I said" They circle back to the lodge. "Ha. Dag's gonna hate that we got the glory"

Adam stops.

"So we don't say anything."

"You ever know an Eshu to NOT tell a story?" Dirk says

"I don't want Dagmar to ....hate, or anything."

"Figure of speech... " He opens the door

Adam waits on the porch. "Maybe I should just go home."

"Come on, dude. They might need us for something else"

"MOM???" A teenaged bray as he returns from patrol.

"Yes?" Brenda says

"I got a laundry problem.... can you get stains out of stuff?" He calls, looking for her.

"Stains?" She looks "Oh holy snot... Adam what on earth? Is that blood? And..dust, and webs?" She fusses over him "Are you hurt? Let me see"

"Yeah, some, and no, mom, I'm fine, the Chief fixed me up."

"Well, thank goodness." She still fusses a bit "yes yes, you leave those clothes outisde the bathroom door. Go shower. I'll clean this up."

"Thanks." He grins and heads off to clean up.

And after, wrapped in a towel, heads to his room.

He grins, slicking his wet hair back.

"Hello, yourself. Good patrol, you shoulda come. Killed this cobweb spider thing."
