She makes a mock-disappointed look, and then dials the number for Adrianne Farr...

"Nah.... Maybe I'll get a peek at hers, sometime."

He winks.

"Hello?" A voice says.

"Hi... my name is Piper, I'm a student at Paschett High? Mrs. (Guidance Counselor) said I should call you about restarting the Archery club." A thumbs up over to Adam.

"Right. .I'm a student too. I'm speaking to you covertly from my class hoping my teacher is still too occupied with her twitter account to look up."

"Oh, I'm sorry! I thought maybe you were a teacher or something - ha! She didn't really explain and I just wanted to get out of her office..."

Adam seems surprised but grins and gives her a thumbs up.

"Yeah,so you're interested in the archery club? Wow. Okay. It's mostly me and one or two part timers on monday afternoons. YOu know how to shoot or hoping to learn?"

"Hoping to learn, and I have a friend who'd come too... maybe two... if it doesn't conflict with other sports they're in. Me, I'm free."

"Okay. Sure. You want to meet up..." a sound of a phone being cupped and "did you see what he tweeted yesterday, Mrs. Kersplatz?" The a pause, and shuffled back "you want to meet up sometime before that let me know?"

"Sure, let's meet up soon! Let me know when you're free and I'll round up whoever is around."

"Okay. This your number? Or at least a friend's number Or you want to give me your email?"

covering the mouthpiece with a hand she whispers to the boys. "It's an old email address Okay?!"

Zane snickers "Sure GGP."

Adam grins WIDELY.

"Girl got Pipes, Legs, Smile...." Adam opines.

"sometimes bangs" Zane mutters

That makes him snork and hoot.

Farr nods "Okay. Got it. Thanks."

"I see why YOU don't get any bangs..." She whispers over at Zane with a slightly malicious grin, then back to the phone. "Sorry, yep! Got it... thanks! See you then."

And the call ends

"Dude, talked to Madden this morning. Damn. Sorry, man." Sincerely but softly as the call ends.

"It was gonna happen" Zane shrugs "And I get why she did it. She wants things simple."

"She wants to get her name thing, I know that....."

"It's ..huge for her. "

"Oh, geez. I didn't mean like that - sorry cuz. At least it sounds like she just didn't need any distractions for her saining. Who knows who she'll end up being? And if she has any sense, after she has her fancy muckety-muck title she'll just be sad she passed you by."

"Open mouth, insert hoof."

"Guys , she's probably a baroness..s he's pretty sure. This fief has a baroness and no way is a sidhe the Chief's heir."

"That means she's got a good chance of seeking out a new life where she has a better chance to rule"

"And you're not into a long distance thing?"

"Well. . I mean... maybe if there's a trod... but she's got to keep up appearances right?"

"So?"

"So dude, she may not want her commoner ex sniffing around" A shrug

"-OR- A mortal." Impressed with something.

"You just gotta go all out for knighthood then." A grin and an easy shrug.

Zane laughs "Riiiight. Sir Zane, the undecided"

A sigh. "Yeah."

"Stranger things have happened. After all, you're LIVING under a Troll Baroness."

"Yeah, mountain Frank and I have something in common" Wry

then a cough "Please never ever tell him I said that. "

"Dude, you want to die." Adam observes.

"Come to think of that, please never ever tell the CHIEF about that joke either"

"No shit. You wanna hit things with sticks?"

"Yeah. I better learn how to parry and run" He says

"You know how to run!"

Practice weapons are brought out, and they get to beat the snot out of a target dummy or spar among themselves

Piper participates with a single-minded focus - lack of raw strength and skill partially made up for with enthusiasm.

"This is fun and all, but I gotta say I'm really getting excited about the Archery concept." Pausing for a gulp of water. "Distance is handy. I'm glad we don't have those dummies that swing around and whack you if you hit them wrong, I saw some in use for jousting practice once. That TOO is something I need no part of. I'm happier on my own two hooves. I love animals, but Horses are big and kinda intimidating."
