She watches Vali walk away, and just looks a bit... shell shocked, perhaps.

A glance to Dagmar, and to Adam. "Did that... really just happen? Almost happen?"

"Yeah." Wowed.

"I mean, I know these happen, like, all the time... but you never really think..." Shaking her head. "That poor kid..."

"Shit." Adam sits a little heavily. NOW the adrenaline hits him.

"Poor kid?" Scowl.

Piper also sits, drawing her knees up to her chest. "I mean... he's gotta be going through some really freakin' dark stuff to even think of hurting people like that - and himself. And now who knows what'll happen to him in the system." She glances up at Dagmar. "You were amazing. It could have been..." A shiver and she just shakes her head.

"Yeah, Dag." Softly, but they are mostly isolated. "Cute AND dangerous." A spark in his eye.

A snort.

"He - what? Goes to juvie? Goes to a hospital?"

"He's an asshole who couldn't own his own shit. And decided that since he was hurting, he was gonna hurt others. Fuck that."

A tiny shrug, pulling her knees to her chest. "Yeah. You're probably right. I hope they can help him and not just toss him in a hole somewhere."

"Not just hurt others. Kill them." She folds her arms across her chest, brow furrowed.

"Ain't nobody fuckin' allowed to do that."

She winces and nods. "I... yeah. You're right. I don't... didn't want to think of that." A shake of her head. "I was thinking of asking him about his horn. If you hadn't acted..."

"Coulda been bad."

She chews on a hangnail. "You're like Tove. Nicer than me."

"Aw, you're nice!"

"YOU could have been hurt - how did you do it? I would have... I don't know- froze, or ran, maybe. I -did- run."

"You ran to get a teacher that would understand." Adam points out.

"Dunno. It... " She gestures. "Had to protect you."

"Maybe it's a troll thing - but you were really brave. And fast - fast brain and you flew over those tables."

Adam grins and leans in to nudge Dagmar. "Thanks." He doesn't entirely lose contact afterwards.

She bites on her lower lip and nods.

Piper rests her chin on her knees, and sighs a little. "I don't... want to be here. I think I'm gonna go."

Zane rushes up, "you guys okay?"

Adam looks at Dagmar. "Wanna cut?"

"Hey, Zane! Man, today has been...." Adam looks energized.

She looks up at Zane and admits... "Not really."

"Well, Mr. Gardener told me to check on my cousin and so... you know, here" Zane says and puts an arm about Piper's shoulders "You want to talk about this, or you want to just like.. NOT talk? I can do both. But not talking is less my style" A grin

"Dude. Yeah. Let's bounce."

"Zane, we're gonna cut. Want to come?"

"Moi? SKip school?" A smile "Sure"

"Ahem" Lupe says "What up?" She HAS been acting as a two person wall with may

"Yeah, sure." She stretches out her legs and stands once the tingles from being curled up too long fade. Hands shove into her pockets.

"Hey...." Adam gives her a charming grin.

"We're heading out. Fuck today, right?"

May smiles "Hi, Adam. " The once scrawny girl continues to develop nicely. then she looks at Sam, "We're not eeven sure what happened, but if you like I can cover for you guys?"

Lupe smiles at May "Makes you proud, was a time she'd be 'o h no you shouldn't"

With May covering for folks... Lupe slips away with Sam to talk a bit and get an update.. mind you, she ditches too.

Leaving Adam, Zane, and Piper to slip out under a veil to ditch.

"Cooooool...."

She shoves her hands in her pockets and walks along with them, telling Zane about what happened in a low voice to avoid any other kids overhearing before they get clear of the grounds. "There was a kid with a gun in the cafeteria. I think he was planning to hurt people. Dagmar stopped him, and Sir Vali called security to have him taken away..."

"Holy shit" Zane observes adroitly, "No wonder you're shaken. I would have shit myself I think. And you know how hard that can be to get out of our fur... like peanut butter in shag carpeting" Crude, but clearly intended to make her laugh after a bad experience, then he asks "Adam, you cool?"

"Jazzed, man!" With an infectious grin.

"It's like... we don't know, we can't really know what might have happened. It could have been a massacre - or he might have wimped out and not done anything. Don't get me wrong - Dagmar was great in shutting that shit DOWN. But I wonder if that kid will be processed as a... attempted murderer, or something. ...am I crazy for feeling bad for HIM?"

"Nah, I don't think so." He reassures Piper. "I mean... Maybe he's sick."
