Nadeen jogs early in the morning, to most she's Tanya... most mortals that is. She moves up and down, exercising.

Legs pumping, arms swaying, she's not as heavily dressed as some girls would be despite the autumn chill.

Adam is in his driveway, shooting a few before school.

Nadeen comes into view. She hears the bounce of the ball and does take a look.

Mornings have gone a little chilly, tee shirt and sweats. Still, not bad for a mortal.

"Good morning, Adam" She looks him over fore enchantment's glow

Adam catches the ball and turns, surprised. "Na.... Tanya. Hey." A glimmer of interest as he looks her over.

"How are things for you?" She asks.

"Uh.... Ok, I guess. How about ypu?"

"Zane I broke up. You're a friend of his yes?"

"Yeah, I heard. An' yeah, I guess so."

"Look out for him will you? He.. maybe taking it hard." She does not sound sure.

"Yeah, it hurt. He was down for a while but seems like he's getting better."

She looks thoughtful, "Good to know. Thank you."

"Welcome." Bounce. "You do track?"

"Cheerleading mostly" She says

A cocky grin. "You'd be good at it."

"Yes, I probably would" she agrees. "But there is only so much time in my day"

"I meant cheerleading." Bounce.

"I AM Good at it, yes. I am currently a cheerleader. A Squad"

"Cool. I play basketball."

"I know, Sam mentioned. " Tanya says "Are you on the bench a lot or ?"

"I'm a starter." But casual about it.

"Impressive" she says "I like cheering for winners. It's more.. appropriate. I hope to motivate you to victory in turn, of course."

That grin again, and an appreciative glance. "Well, you could damn sure do it. Motivate someone."

"Thank you. It's all very ..." She searches for the right word, "ancient. The best warriors of a tribe, brave men, would go to war ....some cultures had women place flowers on the men before they departed, in some ancient areas of mesopotamia, the priestesses of Inanana would offer themselves up to the returning soldiers IF they returned victorious... a multitude of cultures had variations on the theme. "

Adam wanders closer. "Yeah? I like that. That sounds cool. I've been working on my fighting skills."

"Oh? " She ponders looking at him, "Sam and Tove teaching you?"

He nods. "I work out with Zane sometimes too."

"He is not a warrior, but he's smarter than he knows." THoughtful, "And considerate."

Bounce. "Yeah, he's a solid guy."

"I fought a couple Chimera. It was cool."

"You rushed into danger very bravely Siv says"

"She also said she ..gave you a bit of speed?"

"Well, yeah. I didn't ask her to, but she did."

"Sounds like you used it well enough though" She bites her lip.

Adam finds that fascinating. "Yeah, I want to learn more magic...."

"I'm not sained yet, my magic is..unstable."

"Woah. Really? Like.... are you ok?"

"I'm fine. I will be ..sained soon. Assuming we live, of course"

"Assuming.... huh?"

"Don't worry about it. You and your family will probably be fine even if things go wrong."

"Nah, that's not cool, you can't drop something like that and walk away! What are you talking about?!?"

"Point of fact, Adam. I can." She says "You're pretty much at my mercy there. However, as Sam is fond of you... I will tell you that the lodge faces a grave threat. They are readying for it, but you won't be able to help. Neither will I."

"How come!?!? I can help, I'm not afraid to fight."

"Because we're not trolls and the threat is primary to trolls and the fates themselves seem to indicate only trolls can resolve it. " She says with a shrug "I've probably said too much"

"But.... but....!!"

"What are we supposed to do, just sit and watch? What kind of threat?"

"I've said too much. I tell you a little, you want more. " A frown, "Mortals can be so gluttonous with knowledge. Adam- Hopefully we won't see a thing until it's over. I'll leave it at that, good day."

"Hey!" He reaches for her arm.
