"Oh now you care" John snorts "you ruin everything and now you care"

Vali may be calm, but Piper is anything but, glancing around the room - is there another kid? Someone in a trench coat? Is that a cold look - what's under that kid's hands- ok, a lunch tray... practically twitching from the adrenaline rush.

"No. I don't care. Maybe I would have, but YOU fucked up."

"So all I care about is stopping you, you fucking asshole."

Adam rushes for That Guy.

Mr. Gardener looks over to Adam and the case.

Only to see Adam tackle that guy!

That guy goes down and looks up.

Jimmy sighs "I know I blend in, but we've met" The piskie sighs as he looks up at Adam.

"what?"

"Why did you tackle me? I promise to eat my greens next time" Jimmy says to Adam.

"Okay, Sam. You want me to hold him?" Vali says

Then Mr. Gardener announces "It's going to be okay, folks. Just put your food away in an orderly fashion. Somebody having a very bad day. "

"I don't want a damn stampede and we already have an audience."

"If you need to take us both to the office for fighting or some shit, whatever."

Adam fades off.... sorry, wrong.. sorry....

Vali grunts, and then chants under his breath. The room temperature drops a bit... but more than that, folks feel..calmer. Winter magic..taking fear, panic, rage, and curiousity even down a notch

Piper has taken a seat and is half curled up on the floor, taking deep breaths and murmuring something to herself - a mantra or something, her fingers tapping an unheard beat against one thigh. At Vali's cantrip, she shivers, but seems calmer and more focused, and the butterfly's wild flitting around her head dies down a touch towards it's more casual loops and hovering orbits.

Security shows up, and Vali says something quietly.

Dagmar hasn't eased up on John Robert. Kid might actually get some bruises.

John Roberts whimpers "Hurting me"

"Sam, " Vali says "They got him, okay? Just let it transfer over. He can't run, and he can't get to anything"

Piper returns to her feet and looks around for Adam - she spies the case (still there, right?)

She grumbles and backs off. "And what the hell would you have done to everyone here?"

"With that?" GLARE.

It is. Though the security guard is cuffing the boy now that he can reach John Roberts. ANd Vali is heading to it.

Seeing Vali taking care of the case she relaxes a touch - not really having wanted it again. She looks around again for Adam... is he still on the floor?

Most of the students have no idea what's going on, and a few still ask... but the cantrip has kept things from getting too anxiety ridden. Vali looks a touch faded from the effort, but the would be shooter, the gun (still in case) , and the security guard head out. Mr. Gardener says "Sam, great work." A nod To Piper "You too, thanks for getting me." A nod to Adam "Adam, you okay?"

"Yeah... yeah, I'm fine."

She huffs.

"Dammit."

She heads over to where Adam is, giving him a hand up if still on the ground. "I don't... oh..." And she kenns Adam

Vali says "Adam... I'm sorry. I have to go. but we'll talk later. You were very brave." And he moves on

"Thanks."
