"You know, I might say otherwise if someone had gotten hurt or worse killed, but ...no, you're not crazy for feeling bad for him. It's like.. lady I zapped right at the restaurant? She was a bitch, and selfish and needed a take down...but when she broke down and started begging... well... it went from lesson to maybe too far. You want people to be better, not just to punish them. Dad would say that reform and rehabilitation and not just punishment should be the goal of any justice system. " Zane says "Adam's right. Maybe he's sick.. and you're willing to consider that. Right? You're not crazy, you're just kind."

Adam nods agreement.

"I know if it had... if things had gone down differently? If... if Dagmar had been shot, or hurt, if she was just a few heartbeats slower?" Now her expression is shifting to a rare stormy look across her normally smiling features. "I- don't know WHAT I might have done. But it wouldn't have been... good. Nothing so easy as whatever they are going to do to him..."

"I'd have killed him." Simply.

"Hey, this I get also. You know, dad goes on about valus vs ethics vs ..whatever... all over my head, but we're satyrs, not gandhi... and our passions are often quick to flip and..." A blink and a look at Adam, "Wow. Honest but a bit dark there, dude"

She stomps a hoof on the sidewalk with a sudden clack. "Why shouldn't he? If that guy was gonna try to take our friends away - because, because why? Because he had a bad day? Because he was bullied? He- could have shot me - Dagmar - Adam - May and Lupe... everyone! Just because he's feeling shitty?" A sudden outburst.

Zane bobs his head as if this is not unexpected

Adam grins. "You're cute, too."

A shake of her head, fluffy curls bouncing. "I don't WANT to be cute right now. I want to... to punch something!"

"Trolls have a sparring area... back of their lodge. Some normal sized gear there. Let's beat the ever loving crap out of a target dummy or poppinjay?" Zane offers

"I can get my stick if you want...."

She huffs, but then can't help but shoot a grin to Adam. "You boys always thinking about your sticks. ...yeah, that sounds good. Do you think they'll mind? I don't know how to fight, really. I don't want to mess up their stuff."

"Hey, I've been learning how to use it...." with a wicked grin.

"It's practice gear. They won't mind. you should see Dagmar when she's just cutting loose. THEN there is the broken targets" Zane smiles "I got a spear somewhere. I hadn't thought about it, but it does seem guys around here are trying to prove something" A laugh at that

"Now I'm just - OOH. I'm so MAD! I wish I had done something other than run. What if Dagmar had been slower - or there had been another guy - and I was out naffing around in the hallways? I should have stayed..." Second guessing herself now. "Adam, I don't know how you can stay so calm. Maybe it's because you don't have goat blood. It's... volatile, you know?"

A shrug, "Hey, I was PISSED and ready to fight the guy and now I feel like I could take -you- in a race or something, but this whole day has been..." A careless laugh. "I feel like I could bounce off the moon!")

A hand on her hip. "Wait, you think you wanna race me?" A tiny smirk. "Have you SEEN a Satyr run?"

"Yeah, I caught a glimpse of ypur shapely rear taking off for Gardner." Imputently.

Zane shakes his head but smiles

As they approach the trails that lead to the lodge and away from the general streets. "Care to put your money where your mouth is? Oh, no money - just bragging rights. If Zane will carry my bag, I'll race you to the lodge." An impish grin.

Adam shrugs easily. "Look, I know I'll -lose-.... just saying I -feel- like I could win." He grins.

"I'll carry it sure. " A grin

She shoulders her bag and grins. "Let's all go then!" And she suddenly tears down the path, calling back, "Can't catch me!"

Adam takes off after her.

Zane breaks out a moment later as the 'all ' part caught him off guard.

Adam is a natural athlete.

But the son and daughter of Pan are..well, Satyrs... and Piper just can't be caught!

Zane gains on him and starts to pass him, bag and all

Zane passes Adam, nevertheless.

She darts off on a side trail and circle back to lap Adam and pokes him in the side as she slows to his pace. "Not bad!"

The mortal doesn't give up, but.... no way does he win.

"Had.... great.... view....." He gasps as he now chases her.

Zane laughs, then says "Dude, you're good. I mean, we got an edge but for someone with toes.. nice work"

She seems to have settled a bit at the burst of running to blow off a little steam.

"Thanks...." another gasp as he slows at the 'finish line.'

Adam seems just as energetic as before but in the way a workout will bring energy.

"Yup. I've decided... track is not my thing" Zane grins "my music playing cousin just kicked my ass"

"You're still pretty speedy...."

She grins to Zane. "I'm sure there's something you're better at than me - and someday we might find it."

"Ah, not sure I'll ever find my real passion" he says "I know it's not dad's love of academica"

"Obviously, if we're cutting." Adam moves around to where the practice weapons are kept.

"ha. Yeah. Well. I think almost ANYONE would cut after what you guys went through."

She digs into a pocket and pulls out the number she had tucked away. "Hey, can I borrow one of your phones. ... I should check with my parents see if they can send me mine. Can't afford to buy a new one, not a nice one, yet, even with babysitting money."

Zane offers his over "Sure."

"Sure!"

Same, and he grins at Zane.

Zane laughs

She grins. "I can make them fight..." Taking Adam's phone and then, with a mischievous grin, flipping open his photos for a peek!

"Hey....." only a mild protest. Team mates, Rae friends as mortals. No dick pics.

"Cuz, that's so rude" Zane grins
