"It's a combination of things, foundation, blush, bronze, bit of shimmer..."

Tove beams, then looks to Sylvi, "Well, I may have to ask you for some tips for me sometime. My daughter's always been beautiful, but yes, for a prom or something this would be SO fitting. " She closes on Dagmar "And yeah, the eyes can be a challenge" A smile and nod, "I had trouble with lipstick..kept getting it on my teeth when I first tried it here"

"Yeah, well, prom isn't until next year..."

Jaymes' brows have drifted into his hairline even as he is baffled.

"Do you like it, Dad?"

"Prom? I didn't think you wanted to go to Prom?" Jaymes says.

"But there's always a possibility of some fancy event, right? An awards banquet or something?" Sylvi says to Jaymes.

"I..." He catches a glance from his wife. Some conversation in a gaze, then he looks back at Dagmar "I think you're pretty no matter what, but it ...looks...nice?.. I mean, it looks nice."

"Well, I mean, if my friends are going..."

"And yeah, lips need touch-ups a lot," she agrees with Tove.

"This is too much for Homecoming, I think."

"Way too much for Homecoming," Sylvi agrees.

She nods. "Exactly. Maybe... oh, I dunno, I don't think any fae things are this fancy."

"Yes. Too much" Jaymes says "For homecoming... you're going to to a lot of things it sounds like"

"Well, like she says, she has friends" Tove beams , then looks at Dagmar, "Oh I worry if I hug you I'll muss you"

"I mean..." Blush/shrug. "I went to Sadie Hawkins last year..."

"I don't wanna be the weirdo that stays home."

"Sam would be missed if she didn't go to school events. Besides, she's a team member, too."

"Yyyyyeess.... " Jayes says "For sports with the uniforms but this is... okaaay"

"Ohhh, if you ever go to a ball at Caer Falken, we can do makeup like this."

"Don't feel pressured, Dagmar, but if you do want to go, I can see you are well prepared." Tove nods "And I know you get might want to do more than play Trivial Pursuit with your dad and I" a look to Sylvi "She always kicks our butt in the sports questions"

"Well... I mean... it was good I was AT that dance, or Gonzales woulda.. right?"

"And Nadeen WILL go, for sure, and I don't have an Oath, but she's still... I mean, I keep an eye on her..."

"Oh, we totally would have been in deeper trouble if you hadn't been there," Sylvi nods. She tries to hide a smile at Jaymes's obvious discomfort.

"So in a way it's my duty to go to dances..."

"Duty?" Jaymes says "I... you know, maybe baggy clothes are better for defense? Obscures your center of gravity"

"Well, tight dresses with high slits are better for manueverability."

"She might have a point there," Tove says to Jaymes.

"Like a leotard, kind of."

"YES." Jaymes says "Sylvi is being so.helpful.today"

"UM."

Sylvi beams at Jaymes. She's enjoying this.

"So, um, I'm gonna go wash this off..."

"Oh, let me give you some stuff to help. Just soap and water won't do it...." She goes back up to Sam's room with her.

Jaymes sees his daughter seem to waver, then says "Dagmar? It looks good, and if you like the look, then let us .. let us know okay?"

Tove shoots Jaymes a PROUD look at that

When they're alone, she whispers, "Your dad definitely had a whole litter of kittens!"

"Right?"

"But I think I'm ready to be me again for a while."

"I get that. Here, let me show you how to use this makeup remover...." And they go to work.

"Yeah, if I go to Prom, you need to, like, save me. No way can I do this myself."

DOwnstairs... Tove strokes her husbands shoulders massaging, as if calming a stallion on a dangerous sea voyage

"It would be my pleasure! I'll be your personal stylist for Prom, I promise!"

She ducks her head. "You're a good friend."

"You let me be one. You're a good friend, too."

Jaymes is looking at his wife, his expression saying (What happened? She was low maintenance where it counted. Now she's not gonna be)

Tove sighs, rubs, and gives a bit of a grunt (It's NORMAL. It'll be fine. It's how things happen for girls.)
