A sigh. "Thanks."

Glower at the wall (Well, I didn't vote for it)

She checks her face. "Okay, now looking normal looks weird!"

And a pat, and a new drink from Tove

Sylvi laughs. "Well, you remember how to do the liner and mascara and gloss in the morning?" She hands over the appropriate cosmetics. "Keep these."

"I'll try, but if it looks dumb I'll take it off."

"Tell you what, I'll walk to school and pick you up on the way, do any touch-ups needed. Okay? You practice, I'll fix."

"Well... I guess that sounds fair."

"And you probably will screw it up sometimes. Took me a while, and I still screw up some days, so don't kick yourself if you don't get it perfect first try."

"Well... first day. But once I have gym and shop, I probably won't..."

"I totally hear you. But you'll know you can when you want to."

She nods. "Right. WHen it's called for, I guess?"

A shrug. "Or whenever you feel like it. Let me know when you want to try another look. Okay, I gotta go get this stuff back to the Lodge, do my chores, then get up to the Farm. This was fun!"

A quick impulsive hug, then she gathers up her things and heads out, saying goodbye to the King parents as she goes.

"Good seeing you, Sylvi. " Tove says

"mph" Jaymes says farewell to the chaos bringer..err Sylvi

Sam is down a bit later - changed into a baggier t-shirt, face clean.

...And.. short-sleeved?

Jaymes raises a brow at the short sleeves. Perhaps this..isnt' so bad.

"Well, that was fun for you I Hope?" Tove asks

"It was fun to play around, yeah. I don't think I'd want to do that every day, though!"

"I know, but maybe a shopping trip is in our future and we find what you want of what styles" Tove says

"I dunno, I like my clothes."

"Then we look foro thers in that style too," Tove says

"Well, okay. Sylvi's the fashion guru, you know?"

"Would you like to invite her or her mom for some shopping with us?" Tove says

SHe bites on her lower lip. "Maybe. Like, so long as they want to and not because they feel obliged?"

"I think it's safe to say Sylvi would love shopping" Jaymes observes

"True."

Tove nods "I'll make sure they realize it's just an invitation not an obligation"

"Yeah. And sometimes Sylvi gets really girly. I mean, I'm not gonna wear dresses..."

"Not really battle savvy most dresses" Jaymes agrees.

Tove shoots him a LOOK

"But if you ever want to try you obviously have someone who would be happy to assist " Jaymes amends

"True that." She sits down at the table, between the two of them

Jaymes gives her a soft half hug with a free hand, brief. "you good?"

She nods. "Uh-huh."

"Sylvi's a good friend. Even if she's a girly girl."

"Boy is she" Jaymes nods "Her lay ups need work."

Tove says "I am a girly girl..well, woman"

She nods. "So is Kerri."

"But, lke, I'm... not? I'm not so good at girl stuff."

"But you can throw a shotput across a county line!" Jaymes announces

A laugh. "True!"

Tove grins "Well there is that"

Jaymes says "Look... Dagmar. I'm not great at ...well. I dont' know how good a dad I'd be for a girly girl daughter, but if you ever want to try that part of yourself, just..learn...then I'll try to be a good one." Resolved.

"Remember, basketball tryouts are on Tuesday..."

A snort. "Like you couldn't be a good dad about anything."

"May and Lupita trying out again right?" He says, then at her snort , a smile crosses her father's face slightly "thanks for the vote of confidence. I worry." Hey, that was TRUE. He worries about being a good dad?
