"And surely, a guest of the library shall be welcomed there."

"Oh, delightful! Do they have a mausoleum there as well?" She asks, hopefully.

"Not there, but if you wish to see some interest catacombs.. well, I could direct."

Siv reapproaches her and mutters "You okay? I know whispermourn can be a pain in the ears"

"While I do not want that blade, I dislike it being out and about..."

"What know you of this Baroness? She is Varich."

"I consider her a friend" Siv answers honestly, "She was fledged at Rivervale. Whispermourn came with her, and she was stubborn about it, but she learned to use it responsibility when she realized it did more pain than just distraction. She truly did not know at first, but eventually kept it tied up, bound up and.. most importantly quiet. Better in her hands than many options" A glance to Rostislav, but circumspect

A lower whisper "I don't trust Charm, but that's me"

"Mm." She considers.

Tippy tap on the phone.

Siv notices the tapping, but doesn't peek "Good thing I'm not Eiluned" she comments

"Charm sent to junior set. I wouldn't worry much."

"Yeah, Gerd considers Adelaide a friend" A pondering "The arty fledge, think he's an Eiluned? They do pry"

"Curiosity is indicative, but not limited to that house alone."

Earl rejoins them, "I heard, everything okay?"

"I mean to buy that sword." A sigh. "I had truly hoped for the tea chest."

"The sword?"" He asks perplexed. It's possible he hasn't heard of Whispermourn

"Oh" Siv winces "Ah, well, this feels awkward. I consider you both friends.."

"The sword is a threat."

"All swords are" Siv points out

Earl raises a brow

"I'm missing something" Earl finally says

"Whispermourn lets loose a sound only sluagh hear, it's quite painful to sluagh after a time" Siv explains

"that's monstrous" Earl frowns. Sluah being dear to his heart

"We live in a world with jerks like Leech" Siv reminds "Sometimes that sword might be a protector... and it's dear to the Baroness, and she kept in check rather than abuse it".

"Siv, what choice do I have?"

"If she abuses it, which I don't think she will, let Rivervale know...we'll give her brows...until she throws her hands up and behaves..."

Zara frowns.

"This is not Rivervale."

"No, but tthere's a bit of Rivervale in her still" Siv says "your call, but you want the tea set, I think you're due it"

Earl sighs "Not to be banal, but ah... " A sheepish look at his lady "Can you outbid on this?"

"I am uncertain."

"Can we..cheat?" Siv suggests

"Huh?" Earl says

"You don't bid on that sword, and she promises not to use it outside of her barony?" Siv ponders

"I... can accept loss, but I must not surrender it."

"Not sure I follow that?" Siv says "You're not losing if you establish terms"

"I must try to win it."

"Oh dearr" Earl says , his lady seems set "Might as well give it up, Siv. She's made up her mind"

"But it's a paperweight to her." Siv blinks "there are compromises that could be tried. Besides, what if this is a plot to turn Nadeen against sluagh again? If a Varich took a Sluagh heirloom from under your nose, how would you feel?"

"As if a Varich could be anything but ill-favored to my kith?"
