"What's this shit in here then?" Willy stomps over and hauls the mixer parts out of the trash to bang 'em (but not damage them) on the table.

"A mistake."

"But it -worked-, didn't it? That ain't a mistake."

She scowls. "It was ugly extra bullshit."

"Put it back together."

"I am. Whaddya think I'm doing?"

Willy grabs a chair, flips it backwards, and cops a squat.

Well, she is putting back the motor - but ignoring the trashed adaptor.

Willy pokes the item closer to her.

She scowls and pushes it away.

Rochalor looks at Thistle "One time, I carried a red light saber for a sithlord. Some misakes are worse thann others" Sympathetic...

Annnd.... it scrapes closer again.

"I told you, it's trash."

"When I make shit, it's... " A huff. "Shit."

"Thistle? Would you like a hug? "

"GIT!" She shouts at the pooka.

"It worked, didn't it? Can't let the cosmetic shit take you down, Shells." she says gruffly.

The boy scampers back "So maybe..." ULP

Marigold steps back in, and notices the contraption sitting on the counter. “Oh my. Is that my food mill?”

"Sorry." She reaches for it. "I'll fix it."

Gwen doesn't appear to be here anymore . But Roch waves

“I have 3 dozen tomatoes and just the thought of running those by hand makes my joint ache.”

“If it could be automated, why, I could make enough tomato jam AND sauce for a pizza night.”

"I thought I could run it off the mixer..."

"You don't say? Some of the newer models have those sort of add ins, but those are all made of plastic and I just don't trust the new brands as well.”

"Yeah, but the handle just needs to spin, and the motor on this wants to spin shit..."

“This looks nice and solid. Mind latching it up so I can give it a go?”

Noticing the crowd, Marigold turns the oven on and throws in some cookie dough from the freezer, one of Rochallor’s favorite, oatmeal butterscotch .

"It messes up the housing.."

“Even a lopsided cake can taste delicious. Let’s give it a try.”

Rochalor's interest is renewed

Willy just sits there, watching.

She scowls. "You'll see." Hooking the jury-rigged adaptor in. Are those bobby pins? And a sugar spoon?

"I did see. The shit worked. She got mad 'cause it wasn't pretty. She's learnin'."

Marigold raises a brow, but doesn't ask!

Willy meanwhile finds her favorite Cool drink by her elbow, and a soda for Thistle.

Bodge bodage bodge... and the damn casing is askew again.

Thistle scowls at it.

"See, if you flip this, you can redirect the motor to the adaptor..." Demonstrating.

"And it -works-."

It does! The food mill spins.

Marigold moves in and drops in a bowl of chopped tomatoes before Thistle can disassemble again!
