"thanks" Gwen says "I think"

A shake of her head. “The horses don’t like me. THey’ll behave if Aiden makes ‘em, but... the dogs, we understand each other.” Still, she looks a bit disappointed as the party moves on.

Colton whispers to Sylvi "I think you look pretty good in tight leggings too"

“Someday I’ll go to the dreaming and find a riding wolf. Or maybe a big-ass boar with tusks made of silver! Yeah! It will be like... whosits. That Norse guy who had goats he could eat every day.”

Sylvi grins. "Thor."

"Maybe someday somebody could use metamorphosis, change your shape and smell so you could enjoy a ride."

Gwen looks at Briar and ponders something, then grunts. The troll sound for contemplation

“I dunno, it’s useful being scary. I could be ground troops and run in and scare the attacking line so that the horses throw their riders and they all get trampled. But if they’re war horses, I might get trampled too. Could be worth it.”

"No, totally! Redcaps are SCARY in battle," Sylvi verifies. "Horses are like '100% do not approve.'"

Briar cheers up. “Yeah!”

Julius clips back out. “Bluebell is in for the night. My love doesn’t care for night rides. Something about predators seeing better than she does.” A shake of his head.

“I can escort you to the stables, unless Gwen doesn’t mind?”

Gwen smiles at sylvi and mouths 'Thank you'

"I don't mind" Gwen then says

“If you see Cassius, tell him he’s not getting paid for the minstrel set.” He grins to Gwen.

Gwen sighs "He got paid already... just in liquid currency"

A blink to Gwen, and an easy shrug. It wasn't like she was lying or working particularly hard to find a way to cheer Briar up.

“He.... oh lord.” And Julius dashes off towards the cellars, leaving them on their own.

“I’ll clean up.” Briar offers. “I mean, Mari is gonna make me anyways, so I might as well start.”

Her eye is on the leftover venison haunch.

"Enjoy," Sylvi says, then she holds Colton's hand as Gwen leads the way tot he stables.

"Hey Briar, later you and me we'll take the dogs out for a hunt through the brush. Horses can't go there" She says

“We can make a coney pie!” How can she still think of food!

A toothy grin and a wave.

A wave back and then Gwen guides Colton And Sylvi to the stables "We've got some really fine animals here"

"Great, I look forward to seeing them. Um, I'm a pretty good rider, but that's mostly on horses I know really well." More like ONE horse I know really well.

"Well, some of ours are war trained, but we can get you on Bandersnatch... if you like"

"The one I'm used to is war trained, but really specifically. Should be okay, though. But what's Bandersnatch like?"

The path winds past the kennels, where the barking of happy dogs and smell of bacon is drifting over.

"Oh! Hey, Dagmar!" Sylvi waves and calls over. "We're going riding. You coming?"

Adam looks over. "Looks like a crowd."

"Oh, hey - done dancing?"

"No offense, I.. um.. kinda decided to skip that part."

"Bandersnatch is a troll sized horse.. oh but you know that part and..hello Dame"

"Bandersnatch doesn't sound very elven..."

"I think you might have had fun," Sylvi says to Dagmar. "But no worries. Gwen, Dagmar's a better rider than me, so...I guess you decide which horse goes with which of us."

"I'm an okay rider, yeah. I practice a lot."

Danica trods up, her steps surprisingly soft until she comes into the lights cast by the kennels. “All clear. You all decided on going for a ride after all?”

Sylvi rolls her eyes. "An okay rider, she says."

"Yup!" Sylvi says. "Missed the sunset while dancing, though."

"You ride very well" D'Lorean declares "Like a champ"

"That seems to be the story..."

“Hmmph.” Danica doesn’t seem to have minded. “Rather patrol myself. I dance like a bull swims. They can do it, but they don’t look pretty at it.”

Adam hangs back, watching.

“Gwen, can you help me find mounts? Or would you prefer to pick your own?” Danica looks over the small crowd.

"Bandersnatch is.." She says "Sorry. I don't ride much but I'll help"

“Aiden and Calanthe’s steeds are their own, and avoid the stallion in the far left corner. Leave one of the Friseans for me.” She points out the horses that are taken,. “Delorean on Snowthorn.”

Danica ponders the stalls, and grins at Gwen - perhaps this is a test.

"What horses are for guests?"

"Definitely..." D'Lorean pats Snowthorn and mounts him

A fete is veritable smorgasbord- orgasbord - orgasbord.... of horses!

This is just one of the buildings, and horses champ and stamp. “I heard you mention Bandersnatch, you can harness him up.” Watching Gwen to see how she works. She’s not spent TOO much time in the stables, but she should remember the basics.

Sylvi watches all this and gets the vague sense that there's subtext...but she's a guest, so she's just going to patiently see what they're up to. And that's when she spots ADAM. "Oh! Hey." A brief wave in his direction.

Dagmar looks to see what the stallion in the corner is like.
