Lavender D'Lorean is playing with her name again, trying D'Lorean as a surname. Why not? And taking Lavender as a first name to fit in. the satyr wilder really enjoyed Dagmar's visit, and really wants joust club to happen. Of course, one cannot live their entire back on a horse- Marigold complains when you bring them to lunch, and so today she moves out to check for a package delivery on foot

She closes in on it, near hte old mail box of the convivence station, and she breaks into a run to go get it. Swooping it up, she checks the name. Perfect. And excitedly she keeps running at satyr speed to return it

But as she enters Silverwolf grounds proper, while still at the far edge, she lets loose a sharp shrill gasp of pain, a cry of anguish!

And tumbles as her left leg seizes and becomes utterly filled with a sensation like a sword going up through her her calf.

Tears flow out of her eyes as she lays there for a bit "ooo mama... easy..easy"

"Whoa.... whoa...." She hears soft nickering over the pain, and the thump as someone slides off the back of a horse. Soon Linnea is kneeling by her side. "Delorean - are you well? Were you attacked?" Eyes scanning the surroundings, on the lookout for any potential danger.

"No.." She says..though to which question is hard to say "I'm just stupid. GIve. .give me a few moments . it'll pass. it always does" Embarrasment and self pity and shame.

The Thane disappears for a moment, then returns, offering a water bottle. "Drink. If it's a muscle cramp, it will help."

Ignoring the comment about her being stupid, as, clearly, not worth acknowledging.

"Were you on your own? Did Snowthorn throw you?" Calmly assessing without judgement.

A drink and she says "I wish it were a cramp... and no, Snowthorn is a lot more reliable than my left leg" A blush "it's an old injury that ... my left leg is bad. If I run with it... now and then it just clicks wrong.. pain.. tears and...it just goes to shit. "

"An injury is nothing to be ashamed of. " Settling down and sitting next to her. Adelie sidles closer and lips at Delorean's arm, but is gently pushed aside by her rider. "Go be curious over there." She instructs the horse.

"Riding I can do, it's a different set of muscles" She says, though the troll probably knows this "Riding is freedom for mefor a reason" She smiles at the horse "Yes, you're freedom you are"

Linnea rumbles. "You should see a healer skilled in the Spring arts. They might be able to help." A small frown. "We have Heatherbalm, but that's not going to help an old injury, though it could ease a fresh tear. Can you ride? Adelie is a smooth mount. Moreso than that prancer the Baron saddled you with."

"I can ride totally different musclees. Are you sure?" She says getting up to her good leg "At the last I won't take a midnight ride like Adam did" A laugh

A concerned look. "Danica told me about that. I have some concerns." She offers the Satyr a hand up... and then whistles, and Adelie.... kneels!

"Oh you're a smart one.. a good one" And taking the hand, she gets up on the horse with expertise.

Linnea nods, easily walking alongside. "Our Friesians were circus horses, did you know? They were trained for all sorts of things... until they shut the circuses down. It was for the best, you can't make exceptions or the mortals would have kept keeping their poor trained animals in cages when not on display."

"Still, this was one of the good ones the ringmaster was a Pooka, a monkey-themed fellow, and when the paretns weren't looking, he would tip his hat with his tail..."

"I heard that he took some of the beasts that couldn't be rehomed or released into the wild... some sort of a quest, and of course you can't BELIEVE most of it... but he claims to have found homes for them in the dreaming, and I would believe that much at least."

A hand on Adelie's side. "These though, we could give a home to."

"I believe it" She says "even if he's a pooka. There's a glamour in circusus. "

A pat "And I'm glad you did. She seems her old self. Confident and sure

A chuckle. "They still try to get up to old tricks sometimes, and then expect a treat for being sassy and stealing your hat. Bandersnatch was a condition. WE had to take him too, or he wouldn't let us take the Friesians." Amused. "Pooka are scamps."

"At least. so I was told."

"HA. Bandersnatch must have been the clown car... but a sweetie to be sure. Me I think the Baron is both a man of his word and MAYBE has a soft spot for animals"

"Aye, when he remembers." Then she stops suddenly, pausing the horse and checking her hoof. "Got a stone, girl?"

Delorean feels pretty certain that the gait felt Fine.

"Gait was good" SHe says "AT Least up here"

A tilt "You know.. we seem to be on MUCH friendlier terms with Darkgate since you first went to converse with the Chieftain there" Careful, don't smile. Don't smile. Eyes do twinkle

A purpling! "Chief Hewitt is a fine... that is, a wise Chieftain, he can surely see the advantages in an alliance."

"True. You must have been very good at the diplomacy." a nod, yup. Gonna be some juicy gossip with Marigold "I mean, he brought you a pig"

"He brought the entire hold a Pig." Purple turning Violet Beauregard colors...

"Oh, it was delicious." She says as if agreeing

"Ham sandwiches for DAYS."

Appreciative, though.

"Mm got to admire a man who is that good a provider" Sage nod.. attempting to sound sage

Brow raised. “Is that so?” But her lips quirk just a touch. “To be honest, I never dated much. It’s Marigold’s not- so-secret shame to have a hold of spinsters.”

"Well one doesn't have to marry them for her to be happy do we or or.. oh of course. Boggans": A sigh

She taps her nose. “Bingo! Danica is married to her work, and feels like she can’t show a feminine side... she’s not wrong, I mean... it IS wrong, but she’s a lady in a boys clubhouse down at the precinct, and she fights for every step.” A true smile. “She keeps making strides, though.”

“But tell me about you, Delorean. What makes you tick?” A grin. “Or do I need to tag team Bluebell and Marigold on you, one to make you talk and the other to translate?”

"Hey, I was the one trying to get you to talk about YOUR crush on the Chief, not my backstory... no fair the pooka boggan team"

"Oops." That might havbe slipped out. Satyr mouth

A laugh. “I’m too old to have a “crush”. I think it’s just... a healthy interest now.”

Blushing a touch anyways!

"He's got a Scottish accent, girl, I don't know about you, but I find those very alluring." A smile "Okay I won't pester too much, but I will say I think the interest is returned. I saw the way he looked at you."

“I’m sure he’s just being polite. It’s sweet of you to notice though.”

She fights the urge to roll her eyes "Fine. Ask Marigold if she noticed anything. See what she says" Two can play at this loaded boggan game

“Don’t you point her back at me!” Laughing!

A grin "Busted. Fine. I'll try not to pry.. TOO often. " The satyr says "As for what makes me tick? I hate to admit it, but we satyrs can be obsessive. My passion is athletics.. a very thin slice of it.. horse riding and jousting. I worry I bore even this crowd with talk of it. Or do you mean what's my type of fellow?"
