Sylvi nods. "He cares more about the animals than the profit. That's important. I'd gotten that impression already."

"Gwen helps too." She offers. "She's good with the dogs, and doesn't even need to put on as much of the big bulky suits for bite training."

"It's hard to understand him sometime, but he's a good man" Gwen says loyally "He looks out for the animals but he also looks out for the land. He holds the Escheat. He fights off those that would hurt his subjects or dreamers. He stands by his hold...even if sometimes he wants to be alone he'd go to bat for us"

Briar eyes one of Gwen's arms curiously.

Sylvi listens and...her brow furrows briefly, as if there's something she wants to ask, but she merely nods. "Mm-hm."

"You're fortunate," she adds.

Julius slips out of the ballroom, and when the door closes.... it shimmers, and vanishes. "Handy, that." He murmurs. Bluebell is on his arm.

"Were you folk still planning to go for a walk? Sorry that the sunset ride got preempted. I think we underestimated how much people would want to dance." Though he gives his love a fond glance.

"Whoever cares to stay until morning, the sunRISE is also not to be missed. Though I think some folks may sleep through it."

Sylvi asks, "Does that door vanish when the last person leaves? Or when the one who activated the treasure leaves?"

Julius looks thoughtful, and looks to Bluebell. She shrugs expressively. "It is one and the same? I am the only dancer... thusfar." She pouts a little towards Gwen.

"A walk sounds nice. Or a night ride? I would need to change for that, though," she indicates her gown.

Gwen looks guilty

"Dancing is for dorks." Briar says stoutly.

"Well, I'm here to represent for Team Dork, then," Sylvi says easily.

Gwen says "oh she didn't mean THAT"

Bluebell waves a hand magnanimously. "I shall reign as Queen of the Dorks, and someday you shall find yourself my subject, when thou dost discover, the pit of mosh."

Briar has a blank look.

Sylvi grins.

"We should have outfits that may fit, between Gwen and the thane's gear." Julius offers. "If she doesn't mind."

Briar grins and prods at Gwen. "Gwen is gonna keep her dress on and ride SIDE SADDLE."

"With a PARASOL."

"Oh, I brought a change, if you'll just give me a minute." She rises and waves across the room to Colton, indicating that she'll be right back.

Bluebell scolds, "Enough, Briar, or I shall convince the Lady of the Manor to buy you a Christmas gown. Red, aye, but with taffeta. And she can make you wear it, she can, with but a word."

"You WOULDN'T."
"Would I not?" The little nose twitches, but she stands up for Gwen, and... Briar frowns, and shrugs. "I'm gonna stay here and clean up the rest of the food."

COlton greets her "Hey, is it that long to get your boyfriend punch?" Wink

Gwen says "It's okay..."

Bluebell leans in and gives Gwen a soft hug. "You looked terrible, I shall not lie. Now go and wear something that the horses will admire."

"I thought you were getting me some water!" She laughs. "Well, I'm going to go change...they're going to do an evening ride instead of a sunset ride. You're coming, right?"

A hug back "Thanks"

Colton says "Whoops... And sure"

"Be right back," Sylvi says, and gives him a quick kiss before hurrying off to find her bag and a room to change.

Briar glances at Colton. "Do you get to beat up a lot of folk as Storm?"

"Actually, yes" he says "I sentenced a Ravager to death last week" Grimly

"DEATH? But...." She gnaws at a chain off her shirt. "Lots of folk Ravage."

"Boss doesn't like it so we don't. But... lots of folk."

"This one ravaged..rather violently" He says not telling the whole thing

Briar leans in. "HOW Violent?" Gruesome curiosity.

Julius frowns, "Don't pester the Storm, Briar." But he also looks at Colton, curious. Bluebell tugs her ears down and shakes her head, though. "Pardon us." He escorts the Pooka out.

Once blue bell is gone, Coltonsays "He forced himself upon others physically...a nd then told them how it was their fault..for being weak" A pause "Pardon"

Gwen's eyes darken, then she says "I see"

Briar swallows, and shoves a roll in her mouth to cover it.

Chewing furiously.

"Sorry I shouldn't have said anything." he says

She swallows. "That's different. There's good old violence, then there's sickos."

"Have you seen the Jason movies? I wanted a hockey mask for Yule, so I could scare campers in the woods. But now I think I might be scarier without it so I don't know anymore." Briar abruptly changes the conversation.

(pause until Sylvi and Gwen return in riding clothes!)

“NOW you look like Gwen.” Briar remarks, when the stone troll clamps back in. “I mean, practical. Ready to ride and fight with no.... LAYERS in the way.”

Sylvi returns wearing leggings and boots, a tunic, a fur-lined vest, and her emissary sash over all.

She returns to Colton and whispers in his ear, "I loved the dancing and the gown...but I think I might be looking forward to this just as much."

Briar sulks a bit, reaching for another piece of turkey. She can’t have room left, but nibbles anyway. “Have fun.”

"You're not coming?" Sylvi asks.
