Clem holds up a finger to wait and keeps whispering "So just you in there mmm?"

Then she finishes "It's not twins. " Clem declares "But the one in there is EAGER to go... and something odd... "

"Odd?"

"Odd? Will it hurt her?"

"Not yet, but a C section might indeed work best... SHe'll be fine for a week, then I'll check again. I do want her feed changed. Gonna need some..."

Myrttle Anne hands the DeBuke a list

"Yeah" Clem stares "This." A nod

Sylvi smiles at Myrtle Anne. "Thanks."

A soft whine from the back of Dagmar's throat.

Star fidgets, picking up on Dagmar's tension.

"Dagmar, stop scaring your horse" Clem says

"It's going to be okay, Dagmar. I've seen Clem help birthing animals before. I even helped her on it once. She knows what she's doing."

"Sorry..."

"Bit hurt you folks were going to going to another Vet actually" Clem says "I thought it was a done deal I was handling this one. Such a pretty lady, and a fine fellow. I want to be there when their foal greets the world. "

"He came with that sidhe, we didn't seek him out."

"He said something was wrong with Star."

"He's the Ailil's stableman, Star was one he helped birth..."

"Ailil at a Gwydion troll lodge? Clem says

"Connor's aunt."

"That poor boy" Clem says "Yes. I'll drop by to check on her twice more this week. But feed her as reccomended, it should ease discomfort. I'll talk to your Chief but Dagmar as she's your horse, let me ask, are you okay with me doing a C-Section if it comes to that?"

"Anything to save her."

"Now careful wit hthe word 'anywhere' that leads to cross roads and ptichforks" Myrttle Anne says

Clem turns at that "Myrttle Anne, you sure you don't have some Iowan in you?"

Star nickers, reaching for Dagmar, and stomping to find her out of reach.

Myrtle Anne smiles "NOt so blessed"

Dagmar gets closer to the mare.

Clem says "Dagmar. I believe one thing you CAN Do better than anyone is stroke her nice"

And she steps away herself

And she snorts warm breath into her hair.

"That's right, it's gonna be alright..."

"Hey, Dagmar...seriously? Clem's the best." Sylvi pauses. "Maybe...do you want to sleep out here so you can be near her and stuff?"

"A cot is not a bad idea. It's warm enough. And if you show confidence, Dagmar, she'll feel confident" Clem says

A nod.

"I'll stay with her."

"Where did Nadeen go? Everybody left so suddenly..."

A stomp, and she huffs. "We need to run." And an ear-flattened tooth-snap towards Stormwake, but half hearted.

"Not tonight, you don't," Sylvi says.

"So feed her the stuff, and call you when she's having contractions? Can she have an apple?"

"A light slice now and then.." She explains "You'll want to go a bit lighter on them than before"

Sylvi enlists Connor to help set up a cot for Dagmar in the stable.

"Okay..." She is making an effort, but she is back to chewing on her hands.

"Nadeen went home with... the lady."

He hesitates on what to call her, and settled there.

Bluescreen. "What?"

"CAke?"

He offers the ones with the frosting she likes.

Gerd comes out and sees the blue screen Dagmar. Darn it too late!

"..thank you, Connor, but not right now.." She manages, distracted. "What happened in there?"

"Um." He tilts his head. "I don't know."

Gerd says "It's a complicated thing, but I think someone is trying to use Connor in an intrigue" A sigh "Fortunately, Nadeen is acting as an envoy temporarily"
