She has clearly been running.

She nods. "I know. Trolls are big. we've been training for... Sylvi!"

"What's going on?" A frown at the boggan. "Jack told me some stuff...."

"Sylvi, Myrtle Anne... I need your help."

"This is Dolph, one of the stablers at Carthage..." Frown. "He... he's experienced with horses, with foaling..."

"I was told to bring Raspberry leaf and a few other items, and oh, myself" She nods to Dolph "A pleasure sir. Oh, FOALING.. that makes sense now"

And Dolph will quickly outline what he explained earlier.

"Are you a healer, miss Myrtle?"

"I am, though I call myself a herbalist mostly I have helped with midwifery..."

"Not allowed to laugh at that" Jack says under his breath

Dagmar is chewing on her thumb.

"Uhh...hang on. I'm not sure...."

"Ah, then what I would recommend - for a horse her size? Starting with the raspberry leaf... and black cohosh only if things..." He lowers his voice, speaking 'shop' to Myrtle Anne.

"Dagmar, do you have that bridle? The one that lets her speak?"

"Oh! yes!"

She retrieves the magic bridle. "Shh, shh, good girl..." And slips it on.

Myrttle anne lisens and nods "Yes yes... if she were a human I'd use..." more muttering "But clearly that's not right here. "

Star stamps. "What is all this fuss? Have you brought back my old groom to me? The little one is doing fine, even if he can't reach well. This one can't reach much higher than the little one."

"Star, they're saying you might be carrying two foals. They want to send you into labor. Do you feel unwell?"

"He's worried you'll be hurt."

She snorts. "I feel fine. Bring on the wolves, I'll race them any day." A ping.... Dagmar, did she know it worked on animals? Star shifts her weight, and leans her head over to rest on Dagmar's shoulder. "I have not foaled before. I feel... heavy. And slow. I am ready to be fleet again."

"...Star..."

She strokes her nose. "Star, do you trust him?"

Stormwake is unsure of this

She rolls her eyes over to look at the groom. "He always has sweet cubes and soft hands. Even if he calls us silly things."

Myrttle Anne looks up "I don't advise it now, Dame Dagmar. Not tonight. No disrespect to Mr. Dolph here, but we want to let the Chieftain have a look too."

She bites on her lip, nodding.

"Yeahhhhh...we've gotta talk about this. But, um, Mr. Dolph, we've got Myrtle Anne here for the herbal stuff, and I've got Spring magicks to help heal, and the Chieftain can heatherbalm...so no offense, but I think we've got this covered."

Dagmar is chewing again, her poor cuticles.

"I would like to have Chief.... Stormwake's hers, I mean..."

"Yeah, we'll get the Cheiftain, Dagmar. No worries."

A frown. "Have any of you ever midwifed a horse? Or a cow, sheep, or goat? It t'ain't easy as none of them. I can't force you none, but I'd wish I hadn't even said aught if you try that without a proper stableman here. Even if you ain't got the trust in me, you call someone, you hear, girl?" He says to Dagmar. "She's one of mine, same as any I helped drop, and I wouldn't see her hurt for the world."

Jack hugs Dagmar's leg and says "You got this. Star is tough. AND pretty. AND we all love her"

Sylvi gives Jack a look and rubs at her ear. "We've got people who are really good with horses, Mr. Dolph."

"I believe you."

"Sylvi..."

Jack gives a nother hug "Be back later.." And runs off

"I mean, yes, we need the Chief... but he's right. Horses are different from people..."

"He wouldn't hurt Star."

Myrttle Anne says "Now , Dolph don't be offended personal like. I wouldn't call on the Chief just to check boxes. Of course she's useful. And yes, we'll get someone with the right animal skills. Well, by we , I mean the lodge will so I might be presuming" A look to Sylvi and Dagmar 'Pardon"

He frowns, paces a few steps. "If it's a question of my loyalty..." He sighs. "I can give you names of other horse physicians. But they're mortals, even enchanted, they may be at a loss for a fae horse. I don't rush you, but the sooner the better, aye?"

"You care for Star. I know."

"Dagmar...we know horse experts."

"Mr. Dolph, I really mean no offense, but...we really need a second opinion."

She fusses, frowning.

"Don't fuss there, lady." He says to Dagmar. "You'll fret your mare." And he nods to Sylvi. "You don't know me, alright, I see that. But find someone who's seen a foal birth, breech as well, if you call someone else. That's all I ask."

"Would you be willing to return?"

Sylvi grins. "I know for a fact we've got the right connections."
