And Tove shows up, with a blanket, and PJs to change into "Hey"

"Hey Mom."

"Hey " she says "Sorry Star's not feeling top" Tove gives her daughter a kiss "here's your blanket, some snacks.. not for horses, and PJs. I also brought Connor a blanket too "

"Thanks." She takes the PJs, and retreats to the privacy of the tack room to change.

Connor gives Tove a hug. "Star is good. She just needs cake and a nap."

Tove hugs back "We could all use that. But I know things will be okay. Rivervale has the best knights and the best squires"

"Really awesome squires." Dag emerges, in PJs.

And only the smallest of self-conscious tugs on one short sleeve.

"You have THOR peejays?" Connor is in awe. "I want Thor Peejays!"

"Yeah? Well, I'll see what I can do about that."

"I don't usually wear them, though. Do you know how hard it is to curl up with your tail on your nose when you have only two legs?" A sigh.

"I don't tuck as well."

"I think I can work on pJ pants that have room for a tale" Tove says "With THor no less"

"I've never had a tail, I'll have to take your word on it."

Dag smiles at Tove.

"It's easy, you just turn around three times, then steal Jack's pillow. Always sweet dreams. Except when he wakes you up with a pillow to the noggin. But it's worth it."

"Ohhhh..."

Jack and MA are gone .. or else Jack might have an opinion

Dagmar sets up some hay bales next to her cot, making a bed for Connor.

He takes delight in tearing up hay to make a comfy nest.

Gerd says "If you get fleas again I'm gonna have to use the smelly shampoo" A warning

He sneezes in her direction.

"I'll just hopscotch them into the lake."

"You have learned well, young pupawan" She says proud

"Then why do I still bonk my nose on the walls?" A sigh.

"If I could reach into the fridge, the light wouldn't give me away."

"Practice. why don't you try to get some sleep?"

Star is already snoozing. Snoring, in fact.

"mm not tired." Connor yawns.

Dagmar doesn't seem too inclined to sleep. "Alright, don't sleep - just lie down and close your eyes."

"Try to count Star's snores."

"Night little brother" Gerd says "Night dags"

"Good night ,daughter dear" Tove says "I best see if your father has CJ calmed down yet" No wonder she wasn't in a rush

"Well, best give him time... thanks for the stuff, Tove."

"YOu'r welcome, sweetling" And Tove kisses her on the forehead "The best knights" And then slips away

Gerd keeps an ear out for her phone. She may need to flicker flash to pick up Nadeen

And soon, all in the stable sleep.
