"Sorry. I'ma Gwydion now, so I gotta sound like a dumb cartoon knight on occaision."

"Gwydion AND a troll AND a knight. So that's a lot to live up to. And a big part of all of that is slaying the damn dragon, you know? Somebody else might be all 'oooohhhh, let's understand and negotiate with him!' but that's not my job."

"Nope. YOu get your hands dirty, your armor shiney, and you smack that dragon"

"Exactly!"

"Gwydion that why you're wearing the falcon?"

"I'm not gonna tear myself apart for stopping bad guys. I've seen plenty of 'good people' who say how something is so terrible, how it oughtta be stopped, but then... that's it. And then it keeps happening."

She nods. "Gwydion's symbol, yeah. Hey! Did you know he was a wolf for a while?"

"No, but I'm not surprised... all the best people are" Mock tude

"Ha!"

"Ohhh... I wonder if the wolves would be cool with you seeing them..."

"What wolves?" She says cautiously

"They're chimera. So... so, like, pure dream-stuff, not dream and mortal mixed like me."

"Spirit wolves? cool..wwait? I can see them now?"

"Because you're enchanted, yeah." She nods.

"Well, let's go!"

"You wanna be quiet, and respectful - there's cubs..."

"Oh... " she nods "Sure"

Dagmar finds the path, heading for where she knows the wolves were...

THey move to the woods.

ANd yes.. shortly...

"EmberEyes" She calls. "It's Dagmar. I have a friend."

A pair of wolf eyes, small ones, peeeks down a branch

"Hey there." A smile. "Your parents home?"

Shy dart back behind a branch...little wing flutter

"awww..." Lupita says

"Lupita's a friend. She's a wolf, too.."

Then the cub peeks out again

then in a tiny voice 'One's mom is around. one should be careful of one's mom..because ..." an admission, "one's mom is protective."

"Understandable. Moms are protective."

"This one is called Feathersnort" the cub laments "This one may have inhaled a bird's but and sneezed wrong. THis one is stuck with the cub name one fear for many moons" Lamenting anew

Lupita tries not to laugh and turns her head to spare the poor cub's dignity

"Ohh, well... Feathersnort isn't TOO bad."

But she does say "I am Lupita... of the Garou.. Tribe Bone Gnawer, I am judge, or will be. And law keeper. Moon and Earth bless you, Feather snort"

Feathersnort bounces "I heard tales... the prodigal ones... who lost their dream place but love the spirits still!"

Dagmar nods. "And they help protect the forest."

"One wonders why one's cub is talking to strangers?" A strong feminine voice says

"Hello, Ma'am." Dagmar says - she's not gone a step beyond the edge of the clearing.

"but these ones aren't strangers... o mother who is wise enough to listen to her cub!" Feathersnort says "That one is Lupita, of the lost wolves... and that one is Dagmar ,whose one's father did befriend"

The cub says with tthat wheedling tone that kids get when trying to get parents to see logic

to say that Embereyes mate is at least as attractive in her fur and fitness as her mate is putting it mildly, she is paler , elegant, but not delicate. She lands near her cub, and then appraises the two, then "One was told of Dagmar, of course. One is surprised to see a Garou, but not displeased. This One maybe adressed as Moonseeker"

"Boss name" Lupita admits under her breath

A bow. "Hello, Moonseeker. I'm honored."

"We're honored."

"It is perhaps our paths have drifted, but not so much that even a cub of my people might forget her manners. The giant speaks well, but let me assure I do not intend to hunt where your pack hunts save at your largees. I do not intend harm to thy pack, and indeed would howl warning should danger come to them. I do not intend to steal mates, not draw enemy to you>"

Lupita says this very formally

An eyebrow quirk.

A canine smile slips from Moonseeker "One is pleased at such respects from both Giant and Prodigal kin."

"But since the werewollves protect the woods, too, I thought it'd be good for both of you to know each other..."

Lupita looks a bit nervous at something but only for a moment

"Then it behooves one to warn of dangers known," moonseeaker says, and as she talks, she pins feathersnort and begisn to clean her
