SMASH BLAM JAM

Frank is in a gray area. There are numerous figures reading very old magazines, or just snoozing. They look dim, and gray, not..banal, just ...washed out. no vitality. One teenager wearing 80s wardrobe glances over "Hey, only your first life. Lucky you."

Frank struggles with everything he has. "SIV!!!!!!"

"SIV!!!!!"

"Hey," the teenager winces, "Easy. Someone was playing with you?" THe guy definitely is not Siv

Another guy, older, in a T shirt that says "All my Exes live in Texas" stirs from sleep, "Whose yelling?"

This gray area appears to be ..a waiting room?

Frank gets up, and picks up something to use as a weapon if needed, and looks around him for a way out.

"No way out, Honcho." The older guy says "Believe me, we tried. Don't worry, you'll be popped out shortly. First life, so..."

Siv appears cursing "Son of a bitch shot me in me in the head while a truck was pinned down on me? I hope he chokes on my fu..." A startled look, and a blush "Hi, Daddy"

"Siv." He embraces her, holding on tight.

"Oh dad," She hugs him, " I was so worried my screw up had cost me you. I'm so sorry. That was on me. I need to fire at the targets closest to you. " Ashamed

"Stop." Firmly.

"I...stop what?" Siv asks.

"Are they really whining this much when they've got two lives left?" The teenager looks at the older guy

"Don't ever ....." He takes a breath. "... apologize like that. For that. Look, just.... " He looks around at the teen.

He looks back at Siv.

"Two lives? Oh," Siv smiles, "Good, payback time. "

And there's a shimmer...

Frank nods. "Yep." He holds onto Siv's hand.

Frank is back in the driver's seat... they're back at the start of this level, and his daughter calls out "Looks like we lost some cargo. Like a 5th"

"SIV??" Checking.

"Back at the gun" SHe assures him

Frank focuses on driving.

A bit too cautious, this time, despite having the edge of practice and trigger points, both of them 'play' defensively. Frank avoids perhaps once when he should have mowed over, and Siv lets some easy targets get away, BUT... they make it through with a sound of "Next LEVEL! KEEP ON TRUCKING! And.. DECIDE!"

"Decide? that's new," Siv says

Frank grinds his teeth...

Frank sees two ways to go... he can take a winding path through a lot more killer mutants, some with grenades and guns, or he can... are they kidding? or he can take a turn off, and 'skip this level' by jumping over a chasm!

"Try the chasm, we each have two lives left"

Frank guns it.

18 wheelers, with cargo and armor plating no less, are not meant to fly!

But fly it does.

"Go, girl, Go...." He murmurs.

Well, as good as it, Frank times it just right, the speed, when to hit the ramp angle, and he swears under his breath like a nocker trying to WILL the machine to make it!

The last from his daughter who is realizing not for the first time that her folks are pretty bad ass

And Frank races into what he hopes his last dangerzone (DANGERZONE!) before he can drop off the books, and perhaps end this game with his daughter and he alive.
