Managing the shield is more of an issue.

"Got that?" Sylvi asks the pooka.

"Great movie" The pooka says and hits the gas

Sylvi glances over at Dagmar. "Snow'll be fine."

A tense set of her jaw, but she nods.

"I'll make sure of it."

They make good time, Merione drives fast, seemingly nervous all the way, she chants "Fear is the mime killer..." and "I'm a Leif on the Schwiend"

"Next left!" the shield calls out as they head towards an area that was selling fireworks last week of december

Sylvi keeps an eye out, including rooftops.

"C'mon..."

"How much farther?" Sylvi asks the shield.

THey stop the car, and see other cars parked too, some of them show signs of changeling style, but not all

"The tent" The shield says "It is within"

"Ah. Not far at all, apparently." She tries to unfold herself from the car.

Before them, the fireworks warehouse is now looking like a canvas tent

Dagmar touches her gauntlet, but hesitates on activating it... yet. Flyswatter, however, is on her back - the hooked blade visible behind her head like a deadly halo.

Sylvi has her spear, she's been holding it alongside the car like a lance. "I've got a bit of dross. Merione, do you want to come in, or do you want to play getaway driver?"

Merione squeeks, as the gerbil scrambles up Sylvi's pants leg

"Gahh!" Startled, then a breath. "Um...okay."

"Smart. Stealth pooka."

"Hey, maybe she'll want to try study group?"

the shield says "SHall we challenge them now?"

"Could warn a person," Sylvi mutters. Then a nod to Dagmar about study group.

"Uh, no," she says to the shield. "We should pay our dross and go in, and you should be quiet unless we ask you for info. No grand challenges, please."

"This is about recon first, then rescue."

"But.. my KNIGHT. I am his shield, his protector, and I am not there. You cannot know what it is like, to have a charge you would guard with your very being...only to be unable to." Surely the shield's pain is the greatest tragedy few can grasp!

Sylvi resists the urge to roll her eyes. "Listen, I get it, but if we don't do this carefully, they might end up hurting him or something."

SNORT.

"Shield, I am a troll. As is Sylvi."

The red shield goes a bit pink "Well, I never want to cause harm to him, nay. "

"We understand."

"Yeah, we get it. Let's go."

"Oh, wait..."

She pauses and sends Vali a quick text: Found it. Address is ----------------------------. Going in.

"If there's trouble, I want them to at least know where to start looking."

A sneering boggany looking fellow, yet not a boggan, meets them at the tent flap, "Welcome to the show, kiddos" He puts on a false grin "Ready to pay for your tickets?"

'I don't knowwwww...." Sylvi looks hesitant. "Is it worth it?"

"One dross, yeah? I mean, that's..."

"You think we could get a student discount?"

"Hey, hey hey, you don't want to see, your loss. We got all sorts of wonders in there, all sorts of creatures you've NEVER SEEN"

"Oh, yeah, that'd be good."

"Like what?" she asks the pseudo-boggan.

He holds up a can "Bit of glamour from each of you, or a bit of dross. No discounts, ladies" greed in his eyes but when asked like what, he says "A cat with tentacles, we got a two headed dragon, and the great BEAST"

"...Unicorns?"
