Merione gulps "It hungers? Pronouns can be ravenous"

BROW.

Sylvi gives Dagmar a sharp look. "You thinking what I'm thinking?"

Grim look, nod.

"If Snow does anything, it's hunger."

"There's a redcap named Snow?" Merione asked

"More like a whitecap. But the hunger is endless, yes." She looks around. "Well, we should definitely stick around for that," she says clearly, and then more quietly, "...and meanwhile, maybe figure out an exit strategy."

Merione whispers "I advise slipping out of a troll's pocket"

Sylvi mutters, "I'm not sure if that's helpful advice or comic relief." Then she smiles and moves on to another cage, looking over the inmates curiously.

"You think they're what they seem, or... whammied to look extra fancy?"

"The chimera or the cages?"

"Both?"

Akin to a never, one Chimera is a lot more humanoid

"Not sure. But my gut says they are what they are."

"This one looks like a real proper fairy..."

She crouches down to gently tap on the cage, perhaps looking simply like somebody who ignores signs not to tap on cages.

She is...crying?

FROWN.

Mutter. "We could just tear the whole place down."

The little creature whisers in a lovely voice "Winter awakens all my care
as leafless trees grow bare.
For now my sighs are fraught
whenever it enters my thought:
regarding this world's joy,
how everything comes to naught."

Sylvi glances over to see if they're getting the stink-eye from the guard again.

Nope... not yet

The little fairy looks over at them, she's lovely but so sad

"Scuse me" A satyr guy says getting close to her "Damn, too bad she's small, she's kind of hot"

Dagmar quietly glares.

"You come to the circus to look for dates?" Sylvi smirks at him.

THe guy looks stung by that one "Hey, they're not people, I get it. Dosn't mean we can't play with them" He leers at the little fairy

The fairy sees the leer, and sneers like a lady sidhe, or a cheer squad captain, at the oaf, "“The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust, from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonored, and unsung.”

"Hey, that was in the movie..."

The satyr whaps the cage, knocking the fairy lady off her perch

"Hey!"

Sylvi rolls her eyes. "Not real impressed about you bullying somebody so small. Bet you wouldn't be so brave with...The Beast."

"Who says I wouldn't?" The guy blusters, but both notice he baks up at Dagmar's cross look

A dismissive snort from the giantess.

"I say." Sylvi gives him a smirk. "Bet you're too scared to face it, whatever it is."

(Manipulation Plus Subterfugue, please. Both may roll and assist the other 🙂 )

The jerk scowls, then moves towards that area... to prove, who knows what.

Sylvi murmurs to Dagmar, "Wanna both follow him, or split the party?"

"He's a jerk, but he's not... he's just a looky loo, yeah?"

"Yeah, but if he does something, that can be our cover," she whispers through a smile as she points at another chimera.

That goofy looking unicorn runs in circles for the crowds.

"More worried about the redcap..."

"Yeah, no kidding."

"Hey, tell the shield to let the knight know that we're here... quietly."
