"Why don't you want them to know?"

"I'm a bit confused there myself" Sally mae admits

Vali looks at Sally Mae "Hey, where's my blueberry Pie yo uwere making?"

"Gone with the Snow" Sally Mae informs him "Sorry."

Vali sighs "No one ever took Frank's pies"

Sylvi giggle a bit. "Poor Mountain."

"He'll live" Sally Mae assures

"I don't want them to worry."

"Oh. Well...I hope you don't mind if I tell my folks? They'd want to hear all about it."

"I mean..." She bites on her lip.

"It's not that I don't want to brag, but, like, maybe when we're not faded... like... y'know?"

Vali says "its your call, Dagmar, but I think after the rest at least maybe let them know? I won't either way"

"When they can fuss, but not worry, maybe?"

"That makes sense, yeah," Sylvi says with a grin. "Sally Mae, this pie is amazing."

"THank you" Sally Ma says "To be fair, it's a varation on Aunt Agnes recipe. True chiefs have a form of immortality like that" Fond and wistful

Vali nods "Fuss but not worry. "

"Oh, yeah! It tastes like the Farm," Sylvi grins.

"Mmph." (("good pie" around a full mouth)

"I mean that in a good way."

"I know you did, and I took it that way" Sally mae winks "And glad you like, Dagmar"

Vali sighs and makes himself a cold cut sandwich

Dagmar has joined the clean plate club.

"Oh, so Mountain, we should fill you in on what happened."

"Please do" He says "In fact, I should keep records. " he gets the note book "The Chief will want to read this"

Sally Mae smiles at Dagmar "Want seconds?"

"Can I?" She perks.

"Of course, I figured two slices each for you and Sylvi" Sally Mae says "Mountain Vali said to prepare for you"

"Beaumayn powers have a price. Two pies ready, one pie makes it to troll mouths" Vali observes sadly "I don't get it. the vision said the blue moon would fall to one who had towered "

"Oh, that actually makes sense! So, here's what happened with Snow...." Sylvi starts to tell about the adventure, leaving plenty of spaces for Dagmar to add details.

Dagmar does pipe in between bites of pie!

Vali may get omens, but he looks surprised more than once "Snow Kong?" He writes more "This Merione seems a decent girl" And then "Ah, you let the bad guys walk. Not much you could do I suppose. Glad you got that damned whip though."

Grunt. "Told her she could try. She chose to leave it."

"I hate to think what that thing does."

Sylvi will stick around for a bit longer to chat, but eventually she excuses herself to go check in on Goldfinch.

And Sylvi gets her spare slice of pie to go!

"Thank you!" And she's off.

"She's a good freeholder" Vali comments to Dagmar

"How is she as a room mate?" Sally Mae asks Dagmar

"Good!"

"Good. You two make a good team it seems" Sally Mae smiles

"Yeah... I mean, we've been friends a long time."

"I guess I was worried you two might clash. You both remind me a bit of me and Clem and she and I took forever to get along" SallyMae admits "Guess you two grew up faster than I did"

Vali says "Different strokes, they're definitely their own people" Vali says and then says "Dagmar, I'll set up some blankets for you on the couch by the fire. Or would you prefer a cot, or the guest room? I figured the guest room has more privacy but it's not as close to the flames"

"The couch is fine."

Vali nods and sets things up

and then there's noise at the frotn door, "Oak? Where were you?" Vali asks then a laugh "You sly mutt. Hey, Dagmar. I'm afraid Oak tattled on you ... kind of"

Before Dagmar can respond, Brown Dog shoots through the front door with ah appy bark and moves to Dagmar wagging his tail so hard it might fall off

"Hey boy!"

"I'll tell your folks Brown Dog is keeping Oak company" Vali says "he's done it before, and it's KIND of true"
