Indeed, Star stamps as if to say 'don't you dare walk by without tending to me'

"Star, hello, yes, I see you...."

Of course , but seeing is not enough! Star has been tended to, but some of these people throw oats down and act like she should be good with that. Further, they comb her mane to the wrong side

And.. maybe, just maybe,she misses her person.. a bit

"Hey, Star!"

Dagmar checks on the mare, making soft nonsense noises in greeting.

Star enjoys the attention, and is pleased to respond. A hello to Sylvi, but her focus is on her partner

Dagmar offers up an apple, one spared by Snow.

CRUNCH

Snow peeks out and looks around "Oh, well, horses must eat too. THough they are so very big"

"You were bigger, very recently."

"Quite a bit bigger."

She looks around for Spark. And Stormwake, of course, but Spark's so cute.

Spark is growing and flutters wings and prances about playfully

"Yes, but big monkeys get VERY hungry" Snow assures

"Look at him. Gonna be ready for saddle training soon."

"Maybe this summer?"

She nods.

"Get him ready for Connor - have the kiddo help."

Spark preens a bit, almost like mom and looks smug, a bit like dad

there's a sound from the kitchen window sil, "My pie!" Sally Mae calls out

And Snow has a pie and is racing off "It is SO good to be back... mmm blueberry pie is very good for monkeys"

Sylvi looks around. "Oh, crap. SNOW! Give that BACK!"

A sigh.

"Never changes."

"I'll get you more fruit, but that pie is not for you!" Sylvi calls out, following Snow.

A gulp sound "I am sorry, Friend Sylvi. I could not hear you... for the pie was talking. Very loud"

A sigh. "Sorry, Sally Mae!" she calls out.

"Well, I'm glad she's back safe and sound... " Begruding "You two, come on in . "

Sylvi looks to Dagmar. "Coming?"

"Coming!"

One last pat on Star's neck, and she follows. "Did any pie survive?"

Sylvi waves goodbye to the horses and heads in.

"As a matter of fact, I've a cinnamon apple pie with your girls names on it" Sally mae offers

"Ooo..."

As the two come in, they do see a fresh UNmonkeyed pie.

"That sounds amazing."

"Mmm, smells good, too!"

"You too look a little low" Another voice, Mountain Vali

"Well, it's been a busy day or so, Mountain."

"Just a bit. Had a scrap."

"Uh huh." The Mountain ponders "I hope you're staying by a balefire tonight?"

"Well... " A glance at Sylvi. "I think that's maybe the plan?"

Sally Mae carves up a piece for each "Easy on them, Mountain. Let them have pie before you fuss at them"

"The Hearth and Chief would fuss too," Vali says "I'm just honoring our ways"

"Well, Dagmar definitely. I should really go over to Goldfinch. She might get jealous otherwise," she adds with a grin.

"But I don't have to go right away," she points out, readily accepting her slice of pie. "Is there any Dr. Pepper?"

"You don't need to tell my parents, right?"

"Sure is," Sally Mae says and breaks out the Dr. Pepper

"Tell your parents what?" Vali smiles "I don't hear them asking anything do you?"
