Siv is pacing. Mind you, she's pacing in the lodge, which while roomy, does mean she has to go back and forth.

She mutters and grunts. Clearly irked. ("Grounded? GROUNDED? As if I were a childling.")

Her fangs grind ("He's not MY liege. Arrogant Unicorn")

Jonas reads his book

What Frank is doing while his daughter stomps back and forth before him is Frank's business

then she winces. Still recovering a bit, slowly

Then she goes back to grumbling

Jonas looks over at Frank as if hoping he has some wisdom to dispense in the area of Siv management

Frank seems engrossed in his reading.

Jonas wonders if Frank is engrossed, or just wise enough not to try. Still, he looks at Siv and dares "You can use this time to heal more fully anyway, so, maybe it's a good thing?"

Kerri passes through the hall to put some folded blankets in the linen closet.

"GOod thing?" SHe huffs "GOOD? I just got pulled up by my scruff like a badly behaved puppy. I'm a grown ass woman, and I HELP his Baron sship, but is he grateful? NOOO"

She notes Siv's pacing. "If you like, Siv, I could put a broom in your hand so you can help here." A kind smile.

Siv looks ready to say something rude but bites down "like is a strong word," A grumble "But if you need the help, sure"

"More like I think you need something to do. It's not much, but it's a start." And a broom is provided.

Siv takes it and sweeps. "Jonas is the one who does this at the apartment."

"My tolerence for messes is lower than yours and Piper's" Jonas points out

"Well, I'd say that Jonas can judge your work when you're done, but I think that would be cruel to Jonas."

Jonas gives a slight twitch of the lip. Troll smile

"I saw that," Siv warns Jonas

Oak , meanwhile, has positioned near Frank's reading and is quite happy there

Frank only needs one hand to read; the other is available for ear-rumpling.

"Frank, do you need anything?" Kerri offers.

Oak leans into the rumple, soft thumps

"Jonas? Siv? Anything?"

"No, thanks Kerri." he rumbles.

"Would it be rude to ask if Siv might have some chicken noodle soup or broth of some sort? She had trouble with her sandwich earlier" Jonas says.

Siv looks at him "Jonas, don't tell her...."

"She is Hearth, and your aunt. She would be wroth if we hid your troubles in that area with you. I love you Siv, but I respect her too. And frankly, I'll never be more afraid of you than I am caring for you, so don't bother to glare"

Siv tries a glare anyway, but it lacks bite

Kerri's brows go up. "Trouble with your sandwich?"

"Couldn't keep it down" Siv mutters

Jonas simply nods

She frowns slightly, but then simply nods and says, "Let's try some chicken broth. We'll save the noodles for later."

"Be right back." She vanishes into the kitchen.

Frank turns a page.

"Whatcha reading, da?" Siv asks perhaps wanting to change the subject from her

"An account of the Accordance War." he glances up to her.

"Grim times" Siv says "House Fiona actually often sided with the commoners . Proud of my house for that"

Siv does sweep while she talks

Soon, Kerri returns with a bowl of broth and some little crackers on the side. "Take a break, Sweepy."

Siv does, handing the broom to Jonas with a mmh, and then looks at the bowl, then sits down "Thank you, Aunt Kerri"

Jonas takes over sweeping.

"Of course," Kerri says easily, and she goes to tidy something else in the room...but eyes Siv a bit as she eats.

Frank turns a page.

Siv sips slow and easy. She then looks at her da "Why the interest?"

Kerri can see Siv is taking the broth slow indeed. But seems to be able to handle it

"Part of my regular cycle. They don't really make these works on audiobooks, so I read them when I'm home."

"mmm I bet a nockeer could make one" Siv says "An audiobook for fae ears alone I mean"

"Oh, you mean because you can't listen in the Rig," Kerri says with dawning understanding.
