It manages to slip past a see saw, and she ...doesn't clear it. Oh she gets over it, but it slows her down for a precious second, and thta's all it needs to get free

She throws Speaker after it, willing it to strike the foe and return to her.

Speaker says little with words, but the action sends a clear message.

One doesn't outrun the Storm so easily!

As speaker flies into the already wounded hip, breaks through, then returns- by way of the spine! The creature gives an unholy sound.. and dies

As Speaker returns to her hand

She grasps the handle and pauses a moment to breathe before she starts picking herself up off the ground.

She is... injured, worse than she has been in awhile.

Yes. That definitely hurt.

She takes another deep breath, then murmurs a verse in Norwegian, about healing and comfort, casting Heatherbalm on herself.

With a glamour filled wish for wholeness, she finds the worst of her wound wiped away. Not entirely. There maybe quite the scar

Time to get back to the Lodge. She turns back the way she came, perhaps not as quickly as she arrived.

A sound at the door "Signe, no, what are you..."

And a dog bounds towards her mistress, escpaing outside to join Brekke

A hand out to keep Signe from jumping on her, but a grin. "Good girl." She lets Signe lead her back in.

Signe behaves herself.. NOW.

"Sorry, Chief," Mountain Vali says "She got past me when I came in after school. Everything okay?"

"Mountain. I require healing, but I will be well."

Vali now sees her condition "Chief, you look like you've lost enough blood to fill a boggan"

"Probably. Mountain, please get one of the cookies." He knows which ones she means. She settles into her chair by the fire, reaching down to pet Signe.

Vali vanishes, while Signe enjoys the ear rubbing with a soft moan

Brekke allows herself a brief groan, as well.

And coffee AND a cookie is brought up to her

She accepts both. "Thank you, Mountain." She drinks and eats and waits to heal. And she tells him about the fight.

"Wow. Stags with razor antlers and FANGS? I think that's a new one on me"

She nods. "Squire Valter told me there had been sightings. I did not....I expected something less stealthy."

"Deer normally hide to avoid, not ambush. But as carnivores.." he snaps a finger "hey, think the skywolves would know about where these came from?"

"Hm. Perhaps. And they should be told, in case there are more."

"It can wait, or you can deligate while you heal up"

"Yes. But not a person alone. It will need to be more than one."

A nod "Sure."

"Who is available?" she asks, leaning her head back and closing her eyes as the cookie goes to work.

"Well, me. Tiffany. Ives should be about already looking for them I can text him."

She nods. "Tell him what has happened."

"Right away" he texts "Shame Sir Frank's on the road"

A tight nod. Then a sharp look at him. "Do not tell him."

A surprised look "why not?"

"Not yet. I do not wish him distracted. If you must, tell him, but also tell him that I am well."

"I won't call him or anything" He assures "I don't think I'd lie to him, but i can downplay if he asks directly . What about siv? She tends to speak outloud, for someone who does spy work"

"Siv is not here."

"If she finds out, she finds out. But do not offer the information."

Amusement "You kings do not take well to being out of the loop about each other. But I hear you."

"Hm. I would not wish to have such information kept from me. But I do not mind being hypocritical in this case."

THAT gets a twitch of a smile "I have no stones to throw when it comes to not worrying tiffany so... as you wish, Chief. Protect me if your family finds out I've been hiding your injuries?"
