Frank's phone rings

It's Anne Marie

"Mm." he answers "Hello, thank you for getting back to me."

"I'm very sorry about taking so long" She says "It's been crazy"

"I spoke with Jonas. I understand. Can I offer my help in anyway?"

"I think you have more important things on hand given that girl"

A pause. "How do you mean?"

"The one you had me find a spot for? She called."

"That's a step in the right direction."

"Well, she's not in the warehouse anymore. I met her. Talked to her" A beat "Frank, you know who she looks like, right?"

"Yes. We do."

"We're gathering more information to create a plan. I will share what I can with you but I'd ask you not share what you know now with others if you can avoid it at all."

"Of course, I won't tell any non boggans a thing"

"I'd prefer -no one- but... I understand. She took the room?"

"She did " the boggan says "A person's grandmotehr died last week, a litteral granny pod became open. Would you like the adress?"

"Yes, thank you." He writes it down and later transfers it to his phone on the tiny little buttons.

"The owners of the main House owed me because I helped their daughter in Rehab. I feel a bit guilty about taking a quid pro quo on that but for the greater good and all"

"We can fund the room as a rental." Frank assures her.

"I've got a month free. Let's not ruin that just because I'm squeemish. Others need that money more right now"

"If that's what you want. Thank you, Anne Marie."

"You're welcome. Frank, she will still need food. And I'm too swamped to gaurentee it"

"I set her up with a tab at Jaymes's store."

"Well, that's not what I'd call food but yes , it should help"

"It'll get her by. I'm hoping for... some resolution before it becomes a critical issue. I'm waiting on Siv for more information."

"Oh? Is Siv okay? She called me about the Shelter AUtumn Person problem. I'm.. working on that"

"She's fine. Slept at our place last night near the fire. And Brekke and I took care of her. Let me know if I can help with the Autumn Person. I have an edge there."

"You do? May I ask what that is?"

"Our House. You're busy, and I'm available and happy to help."

"Well, frank. I'm newer to the ways htan you when it comes to House. How would you handle this?"

"Could find her a better offer elsewhere, removing the immediate issue, and then work on a metanoia."

"I... didn't think that worked on Autumn People who were THAT banal. " She says "My concern wasn't her, it was the other mortals around her being infected"

"Which is why we find a way to make her want to go to another position. We have to believe mortals can have a transformative change of heart, spiritual or not. At least, in my experience."

"I see... oh dear"

"What is it?"

"I may have allowed Dirk to go and break her legs. I should probably text him to stop that"

After a pause, Frank says "You're a smart woman, kind and compassion it, and a knight of Liam. It's your call."

A sigh "I'll call it off. Dirk is going to be upset, but you're my senoir in the house"

"Look at it this way. Dirk can always break her legs later, and might enjoy being part of her life-changing experience."

Frank is very reasonable.

"I'll tell him that. It might give him something to look forward to."

"Glad to help." Frank rumbles.

"Well, you have that girl's location, anything else I can do for you , Frank?"

"Not unless there's something I can do for you."

"Oh no. I have to go text my son now. He was.. VERY eager"

"Talk to you later."

And she hangs up

And Frank will text Brekke and Vali to let them know Bunni's new address, with the added note: Anne Marie recognized her. That's on me.

Vali texts back TXT: The woman is smart, Frank. That's not against you, that's FOR her.

TXT: She -is- smart, yes.

Frank picks up his tire tapper, and Oak (if he wants to) and heads out on patrol.
