Clem looks about and sips the cup of coffee

"So my timing is bad eh?" Clem asks Squire Brogan.

"I wouldn't say that, Chieftain" Brogan says, the very soul of hospitality

Clem nods "mm' And sips "The food we brought in useful?"

"Always, Chieftain"

Frank enters in. Of all the folks he expected, Chief Clem wasn't likely one of them

He pauses as he toes off his boots, then finishes and nods. "Chief."

"Mr. King" She offers her hand as she rises "How are you, Frank?"

"Doing well, thank you. Sorry, have you been waiting long?"

"Not too long. FLame of the Hearth Brogan here's been a fine young man, tending to any needs I might have. we brought over some grub"

"I'm sure Kerri will thank you for that. Anything I can do for you?"

"Well, truth I came to ask the Chief how the three we sent on loan were doing. Did they cause any trouble that sort of thing"

"I was away for a lot of it but I have heard good reports. Welcome to wait for the Chieftess, and I'll call her to see where she is."

"Oh it's fine. Sounds like you folks are still mighty busy, Everything All right?"

"Mm. Always interesting."

"Fair .We Brought in some Corn Smut for the hold. Fancy stuff actually. can't make it grow can only chance on it"

Brogan has gotten Frank a drink, the sort he prefers this time of day. Clem already has one.

"Corn.... smut?"

"It's like truffles, rare to find... they used to think was a spoiling, but it actually it's coveted. I hope you like it, and if you don't I'm sure Hearth Kerri will" A nod "Don't you worry though, brung plenty of corn regular and other goodies. Oh, and Uncle Emmit sent a few bottles of our best. I think he feels competitive"

"I'm going to let Kerri handle the .... corn stuff. And please thank Emmit for the send.... expect to leave with some?" He lifts an eyebrow.

"I think he's hoping I do" A nod

Frank chuckles.

"Now, I do have news of another sort that's a bit more somber ,not bad mind you. We got folks in Dallas helping with flood situations, don't know if you heard about that?"

"I've seen the news, yes."

"Well, we rescued some Liam fellow, ran a library, rather have the books scattered than destroyed by flood. Did you want any? Normally I'd go to Zara first her being a friend and a librarian but as the collection is the work of your house I figured I should mention and offer to you"

"Let me call Vali, ask him."

A surprised look "Saw it more as a Liam matter than a Mountain Matter myself"

"Mm."

"Point."

"What is his name?"

"Baron Levin Lyrewood? You heard of him?"

"What happened?" maybe about the books, or the Sidhe.....

The front door opens and Brekke enters, looking preoccupied. Signe trots in beside her, pauses at the sight of Clem, tilts her head, and barks once to alert Brekke to the stranger.

"Hm. Thank you, Signe. Chieftain Clem, hello."

Frank stands, nods.

"Well, we saved the books before the flood came in. Dropped the Baron off at a noble hold with a good rep. But he told us to give the books away if we like cuse the hold couldn't hold it all and.." SHe turns then nods "Hello, Chief"

Frank clears his throat, and goes to get Brekke a mug of coffee.

She looks to Frank, and there's a warmth in her eyes that he can see and Clem might note, but which would likely go unnoticed by non-trolls.

"No trouble at the Farm, is there?" she asks Clem.

Frank blinks at Brekke.

Clem is too trolish to make any comment "No, I just came to drop off some food and ask how those three DeBukes were doing. Ives, Eulalie and Djilis, if they were any trouble. Also we ended up with a book surge from a Liam fellow, and I was filling in your husband about that. Tackle which ever subjects suits you best first, Chief"

She accepts the coffee from Frank gratefully and takes her seat by the balefire. "Mm. I am overdue in reporting back to you, and for that you have my apologies. To answer your question, no, no true trouble as such. Minor adjustments to an environment that is new to them."

"Well, I'm glad they didn't hinder when they came to help" She nods and takes a seat as well
