"The Moon IS rather pretty" Squire Kassidy agrees "But it's a good thing no redcap has landed there"

And soon there is a dicussion of how many redcaps would it take to eat the moon, and how fast they could do it!

"So,what's your opinion on Happy?" Vali asks frank when it's just the two of them

"Strong kenning, quick thinker, not afraid to take action. An asset."

A nod "And on the less practical level?"

"What do you mean?"

"Does his smiling all the time bother anyone but me?" He whispers it "I mean, I'm upbeat at times, but sweet Sif "

"Not going to judge the man, or you, for it."

"Better person than I , Frank, but you're right that it shouldn't be too big a factor" A nod "Yeah, EIrfrey said his kenning was good."

"It is. There's an Ondine in the creek now; she would have died if not for him. She's anchored here now; I told her I'd tell you about her, you might come visit."

"I will, and.. oh hey, Klump" He says "i think he'll be happy to have a neighbor"

"She seems charming."

"Glad. She might also be another pair of eyes on the area. There's been some litter bugs ... been thinking of asking Dirk to scare them a little"

Frank nods understanding.

"Eir Frey is a healer and I don't think much for patrols, but don't tell her I said that."

"I won't. Not everyone has to be."

"She's got herbal skills that compare with Myrttle Anne, and a lot of life experience. Spring magics are handy"

"Sylvia has these Springs magics too, doesn't she?"

"She does" A nod "But she'll be splitting time between Goldfinch and College"

"WHich might mean Kerri is gonna visit her whehter she likes it or not" Amused

"Might mean that, yes. I wouldn't want to try to stop her."

"Nope. I'm keeping notes of observations about the new folks to show around. I wonder if we should try to pinch one of the DeBuke Wilders for a year? I don't think Chief clem would mind"

"Might talk with the Chieftess and Hearth about it. And Chief Clem, of course."

"I will, but I'm open to the opinions of you and others too. Djilas seems to be flirting a lot, but does the work. Ives is stoic, good archer. Eulalie is trying to prove herself and I think wants to show she can do more than the usual Farming things, good warrioress"

"Well, I don't think I've met them all yet."

At that moment Squire Valter comes in , looking a bit north of forty, but clearly a warror himself, the man looks to have a few scratches.

Frank glances over, miles past forty himself.

The Squire sees Frank, and bows to him and Sir Vali both, then says "Pardon me, knights. I was hoping to tend to these scratches but I can report first"

"I'll get the kit." Frank heads to the kitchen.

"THank you, sir" He says

Vali says "what got you, Squire? By the way that's Sir Franklyn who you have heard of going in to get the kit"

Frank can hear the response "A black cat Chimera... my own fault. I pried into it's affairs"

Frank knows all too well where the kit is, and comes back promptly to set it down on the table. He also gets the squire a glass of water.

"Lovecraft?" Vali says "Ohhkay, story there, but first let's tend you up."

"I'm familiar with first aid, Mountain," then he nods to Sir Franklyn "Sir Franklyn, good to meet you, Sir"

"Good to meet you too. You must be Squire Valter. Mountain Vali just mentioned you as recently arrived here."

"Yes sir. I had the pleasure of meeting Dame Dagmar, Lady Captain Siv, and goodsatyress Piper while they were at Ocean Breeze. They allowed transport here so I could be considered. Let me know if you need anything, and, thank you for the kit and glass" He does tend to the wounds which are light

"You're welcome."

"Besides Lovecraft, anything to report on the patrol?" Vali says "And, weren't you supposed to be patroling with someone else?" A brow

"Lady Captain Siv is outside talking to her squire, Mountain" Squire Valter explains "I believe they're about to spar"

"And, nothing else much to report, Mountain. I have learned about Mrs McGillicudy, who I take it is something of a local legend for the wilders and childlings?"

"I'll go check in with them, then." He stands and heads out to the sparring ring.

Vali nods, and Frank goes out to see his daughter being a mentor.
