Kassidy skips rope outside the hold, and waves to Connor "Hi Connor, wanna skip rope?"

"If I skip the rope, I'll just be jumping over nothing!" He says, with a grin.

She laughs "Come on" She hands him a spare jump rope "I got two"

"Oh! I don't want to be a rope dope. Nope!"

Well, if he takes it, she starts to jump rope again, if he doesn't , she says "Okay. " And jumps rope while they talk instead

"Are you going to regular school this year?" She jumps

He skips along, he's not very coordinated, but that doesn't affect his fun. Head tilt to one side. "What for?"

"Well, it's what most childlings do" she says surprised "You can meet dreamers there, make friends among the sons of adam and daughters of eve"

"But, I'm not Most Childlings. I go to the Farmhold, and get to pet chickens and learn about numbers THERE."

"Do you want to come to school with me?"

"I don't know, as a Liam I'm supposed to muse and help mortal people.... but it might be nice if they let me on the farm .. I do like animals" Wistful then curious "So you'll be spending most of your time at the farm while Dame Dagmar is at college?"

"She's just visiting for a week. It feels like forever, but she'll be home in a couple days."

"Well yeah, but what about the fall?" still skpping "When she and Symon go off to classes?"

"School is school. Sometimes when I come home over the lil' bridge, it takes me HOURS. Once, I arrived almost before I left!" He giggles. "School isn't far away, and you don't even need to take a troll-bridge. So I'll see her AFTER school." Nod nod.

"Uhm.." She blinks then says "I.. uh.. " Losing pace for a moment

Skip jump! Skip jump!

"You forgot to pick up your feets." He offers helpfully.

"Sorry it's just.. "She skips "What if you find out you know something that someone needs to know, but it might make them upset?"

"Oh! Ummmmm. Is this about the cookies I ate?" He looks a bit guilty.

"Oh that was you!" She says "I thought it was jack... but no"

"It was Jack! Jack, the cookie thief! You know, we should forgive him. after all, to Err is human, but to forgive, Canine."

Jump, skip! Jump, skip!

She laughs

And then remembers what she was asking about 'no, it's not about the cookies. It's about how ... well, Dame Dagmar and you should talk, because her college isn't THAT close"

"Dame Dagmar can go to the moon for cheese and still be home in time for dinner!"

The squire looks at her squire friend, and says "Okay. " She realizes either Connor isn't listening, or he doesn't want to listen. she keeps skipping but her smile is forced

"One and two and lost a SHOE! Three and four, and shut the DOOR! Five and Six... and um... something-something.... OH! STICKS!"

He happily rhymes and skips!

She joins him, then does a different one "A Shadowpaw Clan came up with a plan, when they saw on the widowsill a great big ham! One to distract, two to act like a ladder, A third to grab that ham, and all four did Scatter! Everyone got a slice fair, and that's the truth, i know cause I saw with Connor eating on the ROOF!' She barks the last one

Connor falls over laughing at that. Overcome with giggles!

"And that's the TROOF!"

She grins

and laughs too "Wasn't bad was it?"

"That was GOOD! You should write more things!"

"Well, My knight says I'm smart and that that can change the world more than just beeing good with a rapier"

"You could be a Rapier Rapper?"

"Well, MAYBE.." A blush

"You kids want some Lemonade?" Gerd calls out

"No!" Connor cries out, and scrambles to his feet. "Not unless you have Cucumber-ade."

"No Cucumber ade, sadly just lemonade , or koolaid in the flavor red. Come in and get your pick"

"Can I mix them?"

"Only squires get to mix it today, know any squires?" Gerd inquires

"I do!" Kassidy waves her hand "I know two of them right here"

"Well then, if you want, yes you can mix them" Gerd says'

"Oh. I can mix for Kassidy and Kassidy can mix for me! Squire Power!"

Kassidey will mix his in equal amounts, swirling it left, then right, then left then right again

Connor does roughly the same! He stirs a bit messily. Splish!

Gerd gets a paper towel ready "How was your day, you two?"

Connor slurps his drink and starts going on about his day - several very unlikely scenarios regarding visiting the moon for cheese, but then feeding the cheese to a hungry giant mouse so it wouldn't eat Siv's ship. The provenance is dubious, at best, but he has fun in the telling.

Gerd nods sagely, 'I always wondered, is Moon Cheese more like Cheddar, or Mozarella?"
